The  Prasar  Bharati  (PB) is  a  statutory  autonomous  body  established  under  the Prasar  Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India)  Act 1990. Staff  Selection  Commission  (SSC), Government of India, will make recruitment to these  posts on behalf of the Prasar Bharati  under  special  dispensation  given  by  the  Government.  The  candidates selected through this recruitment for posts in PB will NOT, however, have the status of Central Government Civilian Employees.  As such they will not  be eligible for benefit of age relaxation etc. admissible to Central Government civilian employees in recruitments made by the Staff Selection Commission for Ministries/  Departments/ Attached and Subordinate Offices under Government of India and will not be entitled to  claim   parit with   Central   Government   Civilia Employees   in   any  matter whatsoever.


VACANCIES:  Posts  of  Programme  Executive  and  Transmission Executive:

Zone-wise and post-wise projected vacancies, scale of pay and age limits are given  below. The total number of vacancies may vary at the discretion of Prasar Bharati. A panel for appointment against the said vacancies shall be prepared. The candidates included in the panel will be given appointment against the vacancies in phases extending over a period of two to three years.

QUALIFICATION:

Programming Executive:

1. Master’s  Degree  in  Business  Administration from  a recognized University /Institute,

2.  Proficiency in the use of computers and social media.

Transmission                  Executive   (General     &  Production):

1. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university,

 2. Proficiency in the language relevant to the vacancy.

Transmission     Executive (Family Welfare):
1.Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences/Social Work/Nursing of a recognized University,
2.  Proficiency in the language relevant to the vacancy.

Transmission  Executive (Farm & Home/ Farm Radio Reporter): 
1.  Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from a recognized University,
2. Proficiency in the language relevant to the vacancy.

Transmission Executive (Script):
1. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university,
2. Proficiency in the language relevant to the vacancy.
Transmission  Executive (Educational Broadcast:
1. Bachelor’s  Degree  in  any  discipline from  a  recognized University,
2.  Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized University/ Institute,

3. Proficiency in the language relevant to the vacancy.

Transmission  Executive (Science Reporting/Field Reporter):
1.  Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized University,
2.  Proficiency in the language relevant to the vacancy.
Transmission  Executive (Tribal Dialect/Translation): 
1. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with any of the scheduled language listed in the VIII Schedule of the constitution as main subject or medium of examination and Hindi or English as one of the other subject.
2. Proficiency in the language relevant to the vacancy.
Transmission   Executive (Production Assistant):
1. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university,
2. Proficiency in the language relevant to the vacancy.

NOTE-I: Proficiency in the relevant language means that a candidate must have studied in that language up to Matriculation.
II: Because of multiple posts and qualifications, candidates should exercise option  for  posts  only  after  convincing  themselves  that  they  have  the  requisite qualifications.

Note:  On-line application will be available from 23.03.2013 to 17.04.2013 (5:00
PM) for Part I Registration and 23.03.2013  to 19.04.2013 for Part II Registration.

REQUIRED FEE:  Candidates must pay the application fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) through State Bank India (SBI) either in the form of Challan or Net Banking.
Application fee is not required for women, SC/ST and PH candidates, subject to submission of Caste/Disability/Discharge Certificate in the prescribed form from Appropriate Authority in support of his/her claim, at the time of Interview.
