NOTIFICATION: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications for the recruitment of various posts in Indian Statistical Service (ISS) and Indian Economic Service Examination (IES) from Indian Nationals who are eligible & interested, candidates can apply online at official website up to 16-09-2013.

POST WISE DETAILS: 66 posts -Indian Economic Service – 30 and Indian Statistical Service – 36.
1. Indian Statistical Service – ISS.
2. Indian Economic Service – IES.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of Post-Graduate degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometric and candidate for the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics from a recognized University.
REQUIRED AGE: 21 years - 30 years as on 01-08-2013.
AGE RELAXATION: Applicable as per Govt. rules.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS: candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2013 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement of department.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs. 200/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash/ or by using net banking facility of SBI/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.
No fee from SC/ ST/ PH & Female candidates.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
SELECTION PROCESS: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test/Interview.
HOW TO APPLY: Eligible and interested candidates must apply online through official website and take print out of filled in application form. Candidates must keep a hard copy of online submitted application form which will be required to be brought by the candidate at the time of Interview along with all original documents with spare sets of attested photocopies of all certificates.
