NOTIFICATION: (UPSC CAPF (AC) 2014 – Notification)-The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a written examination on 13th -07- 2014 on all India basis, for which Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online application for the recruitment of 136 vacant posts of Assistant Commandant (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo- Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on direct recruitment basis from Indian Nationals who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply through online application up to 12-05-2014.

POST WISE DETAILS: 136 posts of (Group A) Assistant Commandant-
Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) consists of the following organization:
1. Border Security Force (BSF)- 68 posts.
2. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)-28 posts.
3. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)-40 posts.
4. Indo- Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)- Nil.
5. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)-Nil.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of Graduation qualification OR its equivalent Degree from a recognized University of the Nation. Candidates who are awaiting for final result OR appearing in final Degree examination are also eligible to apply but they have to provide final result/marks sheet up to prescribed date to the commission.
PAY SCALE: Refer official notification.
REQUIRED AGE: Applicant’s age limit must be in between 20 years to 25 years as on 01-08-2014. Refer official notification.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs. 200/- as an application fee is to be deposited by General & OBC category candidates by cash in any nationalize bank OR by net banking/debit card et. Refer official notification.
Female SC & ST category candidates are exempted for paying of application fee.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC) and Ex Serviceman candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test/PET/Medical and Interview.
