NOTIFICATION: Realizing the loss of two decades of prime development in the growth of animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries under Agricultural Universities set up, the Government of Karnataka took bold steps in establishing the new University called Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University on the floor of the Legislative Assembly. The KVAFSU was formed as per the Karnataka Act No. 9 of 2004 called The Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries University Act 2004 and published in the Karnataka Gazette Extra-Ordinary on the 23rd day of February, 2004. Karnataka Veterinary, Animal & Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU) invites offline applications for the recruitment of 99 teaching posts of Assistant Professors/Professor and associate Professors posts in various disciplines/subjects from Indian Nationals who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply through offline application up to 30-04-2014.

POST WISE DETAILS: 99 posts of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR-
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: Assistant Professor Posts will be as per the score card prescribed by the University. Knowledge of reading and writing Kannada language is mandatory by all candidates. For the posts of Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor under Veterinary/Animal Science subjects possessing a valid registration certificate of VCI/KVC is must. However, in the case of candidates passed out from Veterinary College, Shimoga and Veterinary College, Hassan, probation of the selected candidate’s will be declared only after production of VCI/KVC certificate. REQUIRED AGE: Refer university notification separate for age and other details.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: A Bank Demand Draft of Rs.600/- by General & OBC category candidates and Rs.300/- only in case of SC/ST & /Cat-I category drawn in favour of “The Comptroller, KVAFSU, Nandinagar, Bidar” and payable at Bidar up to 30-04-2014. Refer official notification for details.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC) and Ex Serviceman candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: The Selection process for the above posts will be as notified by the University.
