NOTIFICATION: Realizing the loss of two decades of prime development in the growth of animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries under Agricultural Universities set up, the Government of Karnataka took bold steps in establishing the new University called Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University on the floor of the Legislative Assembly. The KVAFSU was formed as per the Karnataka Act No. 9 of 2004 called The Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries University Act 2004 and published in the Karnataka Gazette Extra-Ordinary on the 23rd day of February, 2004. Karnataka Veterinary, Animal & Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU) invites offline applications for the recruitment of various Service Personnel (Non-Teaching) posts from Indian Nationals who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply through offline application up to 30-04-2014.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: Refer official notification for eligibility.
1.MEDICAL OFFICER: a) Must possess a MBBS Degree from a recognized University established by law in India or Equivalent qualification. b) Must have experience at least 03 years in a recognized and reputed Nursing Home/Hospital/Educational Institution /dispensary. c) Any additional qualification in the medical field desirable. d) Must produce a record of good service.
2. ASSISTANT COMPTROLLER: a) Must possess a degree from a recognized University established by law in India or equivalent qualification. b) Must have passed SAS Examination of a State or Central Government. c) Must have put in a minimum of 08 years of experience out of which at least 03 years should be in supervisory capacity in Accounts Department of an Office of Government/Statutory body. d) Must pass General law part I & II with in the period of probation (may be exempted if already passed).e) Must produce a record of good service.
3. ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: a) Must possess a degree from a recognized University established by law in India or equivalent qualification. b) Must have experience of not less than 08 years out of which 03 years should be in a supervisory capacity in a Administrative department/Section of an Office of Government/Statutory body. c) Preference will be given to those having knowledge of University rules of both Administration and Academic besides Government rules. d) A Diploma in Public Administration is a desirable qualification e) Must produce a record of good service.
4. ASSISTANT REGISTRAR: a) Must possess a degree from a recognized University established by law in India or equivalent qualification. b) Must have experience of not less than 08 years out of which 03 years should be in a supervisory capacity in a Administrative department/Section of an Office of Government/Statutory body. c) Preference will be given to those having knowledge of University rules of both Administration and Academic besides Government rules. d) A Diploma in Public Administration is a desirable qualification. e) Must produce a record of good service.
5. LIBRARY ASSISTANT: a) Must possess a minimum of Second class B.Lib Science Degree from a recognized University established by law in India or equivalent qualification.
b) Experience in classification and cataloging of books and periodicals in a Library of a College/University/Research Institute is desirable. c) Candidates with previous experience must produce a record of good service. d) Must pass General law part I & II with in the period of probation (may be exempted if already passed).
6. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (Civil): a) Must have passed a Bachelor’s of B.E. degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University established by law in India or equivalent qualification b) Must pass Accounts Higher, Gen. Law Part I & II and PWD Part I & II within the period of probation. NOTE: May be exempted from passing if already passed.
7. JUNIOR ENGINEER (Civil): a) Must possess Diploma of 3 years duration in the respective field from a recognized Polytechnic Institution. b) Must have 2 years satisfactory experience in concerned field c) Must pass Accounts Higher, Gen. Law Part I & II and PWD Dept. examination Part I & II during the period of probation. NOTE: May be exempted from passing if already passed. d) Must produce a record of good service.
8. JUNIOR ENGINEER (Electrical): a) Must possess Diploma of 3 years duration in the respective field from a recognized Polytechnic Institution. b) Must have 2 years satisfactory experience in concerned field c) Must pass Accounts Higher, Gen. Law Part I & II and PWD Dept. examination Part I & II during the period of probation. NOTE: May be exempted from passing if already passed. d) Must produce a record of good service.
9. AUDIO VISUAL (AV) TECHNICIAN: a) Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Science from a recognized University established by law in India or equivalent qualification.
b) Must have experience of not less than two years in handling audio visual equipments.
c) Knowledge of photography / computer graphics is desirable. d) Must produce a record of good service.
10. OPERATION THEATRE (O T) TECHNICIAN: a) Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Science from a recognized University established by law in India or equivalent qualification.
b) Must have experience of not less than two years in Operation Theatre in Veterinary/ Medical hospital. c) Diploma in Laboratory Techniques related to Medical, Veterinary field from a Govt. recognized Institution/public health/Medical Technology is desirable. d) Must produce a record of good service.
11. ASSISTANT: a) Must possess a degree of a recognized University established by law in India or equivalent qualification. b) Must possess a certificate on computer Application of not less than 6 months duration from the Institutions recognized by Govt. of Karnataka. c) Experience in Computation work and data compilation is must. d) Should pass Accounts Higher and Gen. Law Part I & II during the period of probation. NOTE: May be exempted from passing if already passed.
12. LABORATORY ASSISTANT: a) Must possess Degree in Science from a recognized University established by Law in India or equivalent qualification. b) Must have experience of not less than one year in maintenance of Laboratory in SVU/SAU/Recognized Laboratories.
c) Must possess a certificate on computer application of not less than 06 months duration from the Institutions recognized by Govt of Karnataka.
13. FIELD ASSISTANT: a) Must possess a degree from a recognized University established by law in India or equivalent qualification, b) Must possess a certificate on computer Application of not less than 6 months duration from the institutions recognized by Govt. of Karnataka.
14. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN: a) Must possess Degree in Science from a recognized University established by Law in India or equivalent qualification. b) Must have experience of not less than one year in a Laboratory in SVU/SAU/ Recognized Laboratories. c) Must have a record of good service
15. PHARMACIST/COMPOUNDER: a) Must possess diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized University with minimum of 03 years experience in a recognized Nursing Home/Hospital. b) Must have a record of good service. c) B. Pharma degree is desirable.
16. MUSEUM TECHNICIAN: a) Must possess a Bachelors degree in Science from a recognized University established by Law in India or equivalent qualification. b) Must have experience of not less than one year as museum technician/ embalming animals in a SAU/SAU/in a recognized Biological Museum. c) Knowledge of establishing & Maintenance of Museums / Diploma in Medical Laboratory is desirable in a Laboratory of SVU/SAU. d) Must have a record of good service
17. IMAGING TECHNICIAN: a) Must possess a Bachelors degree in Science from a recognized University established by Law in India or equivalent qualification.
b) Must have experience of not less than 2 years in a Radiology Laboratory as Technician.
c) Diploma in Laboratory Techniques related to Medical, Veterinary field from a Govt recognized Institution/public health/Medical Technology is desirable d) Must have a record of good service.
18. FARM SUPERVISOR (Animal Science): a) Must possess a BV Sc/BVSc & AH degree from a recognized SVU/SAU with good academic record with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade.
19. SKILLED ASSISTANT/BUTCHER: a) Must have passed SSLC examination conducted by secondary education examination Board in Karnataka or possess equivalent qualification.
b) Must have two years experience in slaughtering of animals/processing of meat/dressing of carcass/post-mortem.
20. IN-CHARGE MEDICAL STORES: a) Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University established by Law in India or equivalent qualification.
OR b) Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized organization established by law in India
with experience of not less than five years in a Medical/Veterinary hospital/ recognized pharmacy.
21. OPERATION THEATRE ASSISTANT: a) Must have passed SSLC examination conducted by secondary education examination Board in Karnataka or possess equivalent qualification. b) Must have working experience of not less than one year in a Medical/Veterinary surgical operation theatre. c) Diploma in Operation Theatre technology/technician is desirable. d) Must have a record of good service.
22. ART ROOM ATTENDANT: a) Must have passed SSLC examination conducted by secondary education examination Board in Karnataka or possess equivalent qualification. b) Must have two years experience in art school/Art gallery/art related work. c) Must have good physique. d) Must have a record of good service.
23. ANIMAL ATTENDER: a) Must have passed SSLC examination conducted by secondary education examination Board in Karnataka or possess equivalent qualification. b) Must have working experience of not less than 03 years as Animal Handler in SVU/SAU/Livestock farms. c) Must have good Physique d) Must have a record of good service.
24. DEPUTY REGISTRAR: a) Must possess a degree from a recognized University established by law in India or equivalent qualification. b) Must have experience of not less than 10 years in responsible administrative capacity in a cadre not below Class II in a Govt. Institution or a Statutory Body. c) Must pass Accounts Higher and General Law Part I & II within the period of Probation. d) NOTE: May be exempted from passing if already passed. e) Must have experience in public relations and associated activities in an Institution. f) A degree in Public Administration or a Bachelor’s degree in Law of a recognized University is desirable. g) Must produce a record of good service.
REQUIRED AGE: For these posts the age of candidates must be 18 years to 40 years respectively for service personal i.e. 40 years for SC/ST & Cat-I category Candidates/ 38 years in case of OBC & 35 years for GM candidates.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: A Indian Postal Order /Bank Demand Draft of Rs.500/- by General & OBC category candidates and Rs.250/- only in case of SC/ST & /Cat-I category drawn in favour of “The Comptroller, KVAFSU, Nandinagar, Bidar” and payable at Bidar up to 30-04-2014. POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC) and Ex Serviceman candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: The Selection process for the above posts will be as notified by the University.
