NOTIFICATION: The Indian Navy is today a potent and capable force which is highly regarded for its professional competence. The planned induction of advanced platforms and technology, and creation of modern infrastructure, promise to boost the capabilities of the Service even further in the near future.
Its operating environment is likely to remain in a state of ferment due to a variety of factors which include Geopolitics, emerging technologies, and continuously evolving capabilities in our maritime neighbor hood. Notwithstanding scenario-building exercises and other instruments of prognostication, ‘crystal gazing’ remains a hazardous undertaking, making it difficult to predict with any degree of certainty, the challenges that the future may throw up for us.
In order to ensure that the Indian Navy continues to retain its relevance as a prime instrument of state policy in the midst of future imponderables, we will need to develop a flexible approach and ensure continuous up gradation of our war fighting capabilities and skills. Above all, we must cultivate a propensity to embrace change when necessary.
The Indian Navy invites online applications for the recruitment of Sailor (SSR) for 01/2015 Batch from unmarried male, eligible & interested Indian residents and subject of Nepal & Bhutan; candidates can apply through online mode application up to 08-06-2014.

AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: Refer official notification.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC).
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Written Test, qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations.
HOW TO APPLY: For these posts eligible and interested candidates must apply online through official website up to 08-06-2014 only. Candidates must print out two hard copy of online submitted application form which will be required to be brought by the candidate if called for at the time of Interview or other part of selection along with all original documents with spare sets of attested photocopies of all certificates. Print two copies of the online application form. One copy duly signed, along with attested copies of matriculation certificate, 10+2 mark sheet, domicile, NCC Certificate (if held) & oneself addressed envelope of size 22x10 cms with Rs 10/- stamp affixed on envelope to be send to the address given in notification as per residential location.
HOW TO APPLY ONLINE:
1. Applicant must have a valid E mail ID, & Mobile No., scanned photo and scanned signature before applying online.
2. For this entry the candidates have to apply “ONLINE ONLY” no other mode to apply is acceptable.
3. Follows the procedure as given below-
4. Candidates are to apply online through website www.nausena-bharti.nic.in from 26 -05-2014 to 08-06-2014.
5. Before filling online application candidates must keep Matric certificate & 10+2 Mark sheet ready for reference.
6. Filling up of information like email id is compulsory.
7. Click on “Sailors Entry” button under apply online on the home page of website www.nausena-bharti.nic.in
8. Fill up the form completely. Before clicking the ‘Submit’ button make sure all the details are correct.
9. Write on the top of envelop “Online SSR Application -01/15 batch & 10+2 percentage.
10. Last date for registration of online application is 08-06-2014.
11. Physical receipt of application at the Naval office by 16-06-2014. Confirmation of an applicant would be on receipt of physical application by due date.
12. Online application will be further scrutinized for eligibility and may be rejected if found not eligible in any respect.
13. Photographs: The photograph should be clear and of good quality with blue back ground. Application received without photographs will be rejected.
