NOTIFICATION: Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) invites offline applications for the recruitment from the permanent residents of J & K State for 63 vacant posts Veterinary Assistant Surgeon in Animal/Sheep Husbandry Department on regular basis from young, dynamic and motivated persons of Indian Nationals who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply offline at official website up to 20-06-2014.

POST WISE DETAILS: 63 posts of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon-
1- ANIMAL HUSBANDRY: 48 Posts.
2- SHEEP HUSBANDRY: 15 Posts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or its equivalent qualification of a recognized University in India or of a foreign University declared by Government in consultation with the Commission to be equivalent to the degree of a recognized Indian University.
PAY SCALE: PB-2- Rs. 9300/ – 34800/- + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-.
REQUIRED AGE: Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years but must have not crossed the age of 37 years as on 01-01-2014.
AGE RELAXATION IN AGE: Relaxation in age is applicable to the reserved category candidates as per Govt. rules given below-
39 years: For Physically handicapped candidates.
40 years: For candidates belonging to RBA/SC/ST/ALC/SLC categories.
40 years: For in Service Candidates.
48 years: For Ex-serviceman candidates.
REQUIRED FEE: Payment of application fee as per following rates-
A)- Rs. 510/- inclusive of processing charges Rs.10/- for Open Merit/General Category Candidates.
B)- Rs. 260/- inclusive of processing charges Rs.10/- for SC/ST, RBA, LAC, Social Caste (SLC) and Physically Challenged (PHC) category candidates.
HOW TO OBTAIN AND DEPOSIT THE APPLICATION FORM: The applicants applying to this post can be obtain Application Forms from the office of the J & K Public Service Commission, Polo Ground Srinagar/Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu on cash payment of 500/- (excluding processing charges of Rs.10/) in respect of General Category candidates and 250/- (excluding processing charges of 10/-) in respect of Category candidates through the counters of J&K Bank opened in the offices of J & K Public Service Commission at Polo Ground, Srinagar/Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm on all working days.
POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.
SELECTION PROCESS: The applicant will be selected on the basis of the performance in written test and interview.
HOW TO APPLY: For these posts eligible & interested candidates must submit the OMR application form complete in all respects should be photo-copied. The photocopies of the certificates/testimonials are attached with photocopy of the Application Form. The OMR Application Form together with the photocopy of the Application Form and enclosures be submitted to the Commission office in the envelope provided by the Commission along with the Application Form. Please note that the application form on which correction fluid is applied shall be rejected out rightly.
