NOTIFICATION: Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) invites offline applications for the recruitment from the permanent residents of J & K State for 51 vacant posts through Preliminary Examination-2014 on regular basis from young, dynamic and motivated persons of Indian Nationals who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply offline at official website up to 11-06-2014.

POST WISE DETAILS: 51 posts through JKPSC-
1- JUNIOR SCALE OF J & K ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE: 33 Posts.
2- J & K POLICE (G) SERVICE: 16 Posts.
3- J & K ACCOUNTS (G) SERVICE: 02 Posts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent qualification of a recognized University in India or of a foreign University declared by Government in consultation with the Commission to be equivalent to the degree of a recognized Indian University.
The candidates who have appeared in final examination on or before the last date for receipt of application forms for Preliminary Examination and result yet have not been declared are also eligible to apply for these posts
The candidates applying for J & K Police (Gazetted) Service should possess the physical standards as per J & K Police recruitment standard.
PAY SCALE: PB-2- Rs. 9300-34800/-+ grade pay Rs. 4800/-.
REQUIRED AGE: Applicants must have attained the age of 21 years but must have not crossed the age of 35 years (in case of OM candidates) on 01-01-2014 i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 01-01-1979 and not later than 01.01-1993.
REQUIRED FEE: Payment of application fee as per following rates-
A)- Rs. 800/- inclusive of service charges of the Bank for Open Merit/General Category Candidates.
B)- Rs. 550/- inclusive of service charges of the Bank for SC/ST, RBA, LAC, Social Caste (SLC) and Physically Challenged (PHC) category candidates.
C)- The female candidates in BPL (Below Poverty Line)- Nil charge.
HOW TO OBTAIN AND DEPOSIT THE APPLICATION FORM: The applicants seeking admission to the Preliminary Examination can obtain the Application Forms along-with copy of SRO 387 dated01.12.2008 as amended from time to time containing the syllabus for the examination, instructions for filling up of the Application Form, Acknowledgement Card and an Envelope for submitting the Application Forms, from the designated branches of the J & K Bank on cash.
The Application Forms, along-with copy of SRO 387 dated 01.12.2008 as amended from time to time containing the syllabus for the examination, shall be available at the above designated branches of J & K Bank on all working days during office hours up-to 11-06-2014. However, the candidates are advised to approach the Bank during the hours of Transaction at the Bank. No Application Form will be sold on 12-06-2014, which is the last date for receipt of applications.
The duly filled in Application Forms can be deposited by the candidates at any of the above designated branches of the J & K Bank. No form shall be received by the office of the J & K PSC.
POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.
SELECTION PROCESS: The applicant will be selected on the basis of the performance in written test and interview.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF TESTS: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission proposes to conduct the Combined Competitive Preliminary and Main Examination as per the following schedules-
DATE OF PRELIMINARY TEST (In two Sessions): 12-10-2014.
DATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF MAIN TEST: 01-03-2015.
HOW TO APPLY: For these posts eligible & interested candidates must submit the OMR application form at any designated branches of J & K Bank up to or before 12-06-2014 and receive a Acknowledgement Card. This Acknowledgement Card is an important document which may be required at various occasions to prove the bonafide of the candidature and should therefore be preserved properly.
No Application Form shall be received in person or by post, by the Commission.
