NOTIFICATION: The Govt. West Bengal divided the erstwhile West Bengal State Electricity Board (WBSEB) into two functionally independent state-owned companies, West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) and West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), with effect from 01-04-2007. WBSETCL is responsible for transmitting electricity from generating sources to load centres through a transmission network operating at 400kV, 220kV, 132kV and 66kV spread across West Bengal. WBSETCL is currently playing three distinct functional roles envisaged under the Electricity Act 2003-(1) The State Transmission Utility (STU) provider, (2) A Transmission Licensee (TL) and (3) The State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC). REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: As per details given in notification a candidate must have any of the required qualification for concerned posts from Madhyamik or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/Institute/University, ITI in Wireman/ Electrician/ Diploma in Electrical, Electronics and Tele-Communication/ Radio/ Wireless Engineering/Graduate / CA /ICWA, MBA etc.
REQUIRED AGE: Applicant’s age should be in between 18 years to 27 years as on 01-01-2014.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: An application non-refundable fee of Rs.400/- by General & OBC category candidates for post Sl. No 1 to 4 together with Rs.22/- as bank service charges and Rs.250/- together with Rs.22/- as bank service charges by General & OBC category candidates for post Sl. No 5 to 7. Application fee to be paid through a challan form in any branch of United Bank of India. Chalan form will be generated during online apply.
SC/ST/XSM & PH category candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
