NOTIFICATION: West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB) invites online applications for the recruitment of 2315 Medical Officer (both General duty & Specialists) in the cadre of the West Bengal Health Service (Basic Grade) and Block Medical Officer of Health (Basic public health-cum-administrative officer) in West Bengal Public Health cum Administrative Services under Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of West Bengal on direct recruitment basis from young, dynamic and motivated persons of Indian Nationals who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply online at official website up to 23-06-2014.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the 3rd Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and Registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal and must have one year’s practical training as House Staff in any Govt. Hospital OR other recognized Institution. Working experience in the field of Public Health is desirable.
2- BLOCK MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH (Basic public health-cum-administrative Officer): 117 posts- Gen—62, SC—26, ST—7, BC-A—12, BC-B—8, PWD—2.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of Medical qualification included in the 1st OR 2nd Schedule OR Part-II of the 3rd Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and Registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal. Post Graduate Degree OR Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Management and Hospital Administration will be Preferred.
3. MEDICAL OFFICER (SPECIALIST): 706 posts- Gen—375, SC—156, ST—42, BC-A—70, BC-B—49, PWD—14.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of Medical qualification included in the 1st OR 2nd Schedule OR Part-II of the 3rd Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and Registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal and must have one year’s practical training as House Staff in any Govt. IMPORTANT NOTE: The candidates must have ability to read/ write and speak in Bengali language (not required in the case of Nepali speaking candidates of the three Hills sub-division of Darjeeling district, i.e. – Darjeeling Sadar, Kalimpong & Kurseong).
PAY SCALE: PB 4A- Rs. 15,600 – 42,000/-+ Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-+ NPA & Others Allowances will Also be Admissible as per Government Order in Force time to time.
REQUIRED AGE-all posts: Applicant’s maximum age should not exceed 32 years as on 01-01-2014 for Ordinary Graduates and 40 years for those applicants who possess Post Graduate qualification, relax able for otherwise qualified & experienced candidates.

Candidates must keep a hard copy of online submitted application form which will be required to be brought by the candidate if called for at the time of Interview along with all original documents with spare sets of attested photocopies of all certificates.
