NOTIFICATION: As per this office Notification No: 09-PSC (DR-P) of 2013 date: 23-05-2013 Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) invites offline applications for the recruitment from the permanent residents of J & K State from the candidates possessing the prescribed academic qualification and age for the 1651posts of Assistant Professor in various disciplines in the Government Degree Colleges of the State as per the category-wise break-up on regular basis from young, dynamic and motivated persons of Indian Residents who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply offline at official website up to 02-07-2014.

POST WISE DETAILS: 1651 posts of Assistant Professor in various department-
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with 55% marks { 50%, excluding any grace marks, in case of SC/ST/PH (Physically and Visually differently abled) Categories/Ph.D. degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th Sep.1991. } or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
1. The candidate must have cleared NET/SLET/SET conducted by the UGC, CSIR/AIU.
2. The candidate who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Min. Standards and procedure for Award of Ph. D degree regulations), 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the min. eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
3. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Master’s Programmes in disciplines for which NET/ SLET/ SET is not conducted. Master’s Degree in Business Management/Administration/in a relevant management related discipline or 2 year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE/UGC with 60% marks {55%, excluding any grace marks, in case of SC/ST/PH (Physically and Visually differently abled) Categories/ Ph.D. degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th Sep.1991}
OR
4. Graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost & Works Accountant/Company Secretary of the concerned/Statutory bodies with 60% marks {55%, excluding any grace marks, in case of SC/ST/PH (Physically and Visually differently abled) Categories/Ph.D. degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th Sep. 1991}.
Desirable:
5. Teaching, research, industrial and /or professional experience in a reputed organization.
6. Papers presented at Conferences and /or published in referred journals. Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with 55% marks {50%, excluding any grace marks, in case of SC/ST/PH (Physically and visually differently abled) Categories/ Ph.D. degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th Sep. 1991} or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian/foreign University.

PAY SCALE: Rs. 15600-39100/-+Academic Pay Grade Rs. 6000/-.
REQUIRED AGE: Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years but must have not crossed the age of 37 years as on 01-01-2014.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable to the reserved category candidates as per Govt. rules given below-
39 years: For Physically handicapped candidates.
40 years: For candidates belonging to RBA/SC/ST/ALC/SLC categories.
40 years: For in Service Candidates.
48 years: For Ex-serviceman candidates.
REQUIRED FEE: Payment of application fee as per following rates-
A)- Rs. 510/- inclusive of processing charges Rs.10/- for Open Merit/General Category Candidates.
B)- Rs. 260/- inclusive of processing charges Rs.10/- for SC/ST, RBA, LAC, Social Caste (SLC) and Physically Challenged (PHC) category candidates.
HOW TO OBTAIN AND DEPOSIT THE APPLICATION FORM: The applicants applying to this post can be obtain Application Forms from the office of the J & K Public Service Commission, Polo Ground Srinagar/Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu on cash payment of 500/- (excluding processing charges of Rs.10/) in respect of General Category candidates and 250/- (excluding processing charges of
10/-) in respect of Category candidates through the counters of J&K Bank opened in the offices of J & K Public Service Commission at Polo Ground, Srinagar/Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm on all working days.
POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.
SELECTION PROCESS: The applicant will be selected on the basis of the performance in written test and interview. The selection process shall be conducted in accordance with the terms of SRO-124 of 2014 dated- 21-04-2014 read-with Govt. Order Nos. 252-HE of 2012 dated- 30-05-2012, J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules 1980 and communication No:HE-Coll/APPtt./A.P/2014 dated: 19-05-2014 from the Higher Education Department, J&K Government as the case may be.

The photocopies of the certificates/testimonials are attached with photocopy of the Application Form.
