NOTIFICATION:   Purvanchal Bank (Sponsored by SBI), was constituted on 1st April 2013 after amalgamation of two Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) namely Purvanchal Gramin Bank and Ballia-Etawah Gramin Bank as per notification no. F.No. 7/9/2011-RRB (UP) dated 01-04-2013 of GOI under Sub section (1) of section 23A of Regional Rural Bank Act, 1976 (21 of 1976). Purvanchal Bank having its Head Office at Gorakhpur through the network of its 571 branches in 11 districts (Aurraiya, Ballia, Basti, Deoria, Etawah, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Mau, Santkabir Nagar, Siddhart Nagar) of U.P. and 10 Regional offices (Bansdih, Basti, Deoria, Etawah, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Rasra, Santkabir Nagar, Siddhart Nagar). All branches are on CBS platform. Purvanchal Gramin Bank (PGB) Gorakhpur, invites online applications for the recruitment of 570 vacant posts of Officer Scale-1 & Office Assistant (Multipurpose) from eligible & interested Indian residents; candidates can apply through online mode application up to 20-06-2014.

REQUIRED FEE:  An amount of Rs.100/- as an application fee by General & OBC category candidates and Rs. 20/- by SC/ST & PWD category candidates to be paid.

POST RESERVATION:  The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD and Ex Servicemen candidates.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:  Candidates will be selected on the basis of the performance in IBPS 2013 and personal interview.

HOW TO APPLY:  For these posts eligible and interested candidates must apply online through official website up to 20-06-2014. Candidates must keep a hard copy of online submitted application form which will be required to be brought by the candidate if called for at the time of Interview along with all original documents with spare sets of attested photocopies of all certificates and application fee payment slip. 

PROCESS TO APPLY ONLINE:  Applicant must have a valid E mail ID, & Mobile No., scanned photo and scanned signature before applying online (as specified in the online application form while applying for RRBs- Common Written Examination CWE conducted in September/October 2013) is kept active during the currency of a recruitment project. Bank may send call letters for Interview etc. to the registered e-mail ID.

1-Candidates are required to apply online through Bank’s website  www.pgbgorakhpur.com up to 20-06-2014. 

2-No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.

3-Candidates are 1st required to go to the Bank’s website and click on the link “Recruitment/ Careers”.

4-Thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification.

5-The candidate must take a printout of the fee payment challan form.

6-Two Challans forms are available in web site for each category, details of which are as follows:

7-Candidates should download one of the Challan Forms as required for and the Bank they choose to deposit the fee from the Bank’s website.

8-Fill in the Fee Payment Challan form in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS.

9-Candidates can pay application fees in any of the branches of the STATE BANK OF INDIA or PURVANCHAL BANK only. 

10-Candidates may find out the required branch address from the respective Bank’s website.
Go to the nearest STATE BANK OF INDIA or PURVANCHAL BANK, Branch with the Fee payment Challan form and pay in Cash the appropriate Application Fee in CBS Account No. in State Bank of India i.e. (A/c No. 3374228294- for Officer Scale-1) & (A/c No.33740850462- for Office Assistant) or CBS Account No. in Purvanchal Bank (A/c No. 75039025037-for Officer Scale-1) & (A/c No 75039024237- for Office Assistant), are printed on the payment Challan form. 

11-Applicants must obtain the Applicant’s Counterfoil Copy of the Application Fee Payment Challan form duly authenticated by the Bank with (a) Branch Name & code No, (b) Transaction id/Scroll number (c) Date of Deposit & amount filled by the Branch Official.

12-Candidates are now ready to apply Online by re-visiting the Recruitment Link on the Bank’s website.  Applicant must fill up all the fields in the online Application format carefully.

13-Carefully fill in all the details such as fee payment details from the CBS Challan form in the Online Application Form, scores obtained in stipulated CWE etc. at the appropriate places.

14-The original fee payment receipt i.e CBS challan form will have to be submitted with the Call Letter at the time of Interview. Without original CBS challan form the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the Interview.

15-Candidates are also advised to keep a photocopy of the fee payment challan form with them.

16-The name of the candidate or his/her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets. Any change / alteration found may disqualify the candidature. 

17-The Application printout along with the fee payment receipt and required copies of documents should be kept ready for submission if shortlisted for Interview. The applicant should sign and affix his/her photograph on such printout of application and keep the same ready for submission if selected for Interview along with copies of required documents mentioned below-

1. Original fee payment receipt (CBS challan form).

2. Printout of the online application submitted.

3. Printout of IBPS Scores for the stipulated examination.

4. 10th standard examination marks sheet in support of local language.

5. Attested copy of School leaving certificate or any other document as proof of age acceptable to the Bank.

6. Attested copies of Marks sheet / certificates in support of Educational Qualification.

7. Attested copy of certificate of Computer Course as applicable.

8. Caste / PWD any other related certificate as applicable.

9. Photo identity proof.

10. Any other relevant document if selected for interview, candidates serving in Government / Public Sector Undertakings (including Banks & Financial Institutions) will be required to submit their applications accompanied by a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered. It is for the candidate to ensure that he / she has met with the eligibility criteria and complied with the requirements and adhered to the instructions contained in this advertisement as well as in the application form. Candidates are, therefore urged to carefully read the advertisement and complete the application form and submit the same as per instructions given in this regard.

INTERVIEW CALL LETTERS:  All eligible candidates will be issued call letters at the address given by the candidates in their application form by post/ courier. Candidate has to affix his/her photograph on the call letter. Candidate has to bring this call letter along with original fee payment receipt and requisite enclosures while attending the Interview without which they will not be allowed to take up the Interview.
