NOTIFICATION: Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Human Resource Management Department, invites offline applications for the recruitment of 53 vacant posts of meritorious Sportsperson for the post of Assistant and Office Attendant on regular basis from Indian residents and citizens of Nepal and subjects of Bhutan and persons of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and East African countries or Kenya, Uganda and United Republic of Tanzania with the intention of permanently settling in India and in whose favour Eligibility Certificates have been issued by Government of India, who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply through offline mode of application up to 21-07-2014.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: As per given details-
ASSISTANT- A passed of Bachelor Degree or its equivalent in any discipline from any recognised University within the Recruitment Zone.
Pay Scale- Rs.22732/- per month.
OFFICE ATTENDANT: A passed of 10th class or its equivalent from a recognised Board/Institute and it should be within the Recruitment Zone.
Pay Scale- Rs.15631/- per month.
NOTE: Those candidates who have appeared for the 10th examination or final year examination of Bachelor's Degree and waiting for results can also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the Graduation/10th Examination on or before 31-08-2014.
ELIGIBILITY OF MERITORIOUS SPORTSPERSON:
Candidates should have presented their University in Inter University Tournaments conducted by Inter University Board OR a State Schools Team in the National Sports / Games for Schools conducted by the All India Schools Game Federation.
NOTE: Performance of candidates in the previous two years will be given due importance. At the time of appointment the candidate must be an active sportsperson and should be fit enough to take part in future tournaments as well.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s age must be in between 18 to 26 years as on 01-07-2014.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: Candidates must pay the fee of Rs.100/‐ of General & OBC category in the form of Account Payee Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Reserve Bank of India” and payable at respective centre where the application is being submitted.
SC/ST category candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable as per Govt. rules for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC) / widow candidates and Ex Servicemen.
SELECTION PROCESS: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of Selection trials and interviews. Final selection will depend, inter‐alia, on verification of character & antecedents, medical fitness and verification of genuineness of sports certificates to the Bank’s satisfaction.
HOW TO APPLY: For all these posts eligible and Interested candidates may prepare the Application form on plain A4 size paper mentioning his/her brief bio-data with regard to the following — (i) Name in full (in block letters) (ii) Full residential address (iii) Date of birth (iv) Place of birth (v) Educational qualifications (vi) Name of School/College last attended (vii)Technical qualifications, if any (viii) Employment Exchange Registration Number (if any) (ix) Whether belongs to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/other backward class (attach xerox copies of certificates) (x) Proficiency in sports – (a) Name of sport (b) Specialization (c) Participation in sports events (indicating particulars of sports events and nature of representation therein) (xi) Particulars of past and present employment (xii) Signature of applicant & date. Latest passport size photograph should be affixed on right‐hand top corner of application.
Application must be reached by ordinary post up to 21-07-2014 to the concerned center as given in notification accompanying DD, Xerox copies of relevant certificates with regards to qualifications acquired, copies of certificates relating to efficiency/merit in games/sports from authorities like District/State Sports associations.

Applications may also be deposited in a special box kept at the Bank’s Building from 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. on weekdays except on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
