NOTIFICATION: Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala under the 10+2 Cadet (B. Tech) Entry Scheme. The Indian Navy invites online applications for the recruitment of various vacant posts on direct recruitment basis from eligible & interested Indian residents; candidates can apply through online mode application up to 23-06-2014.

POST WISE DETAILS: Various posts of Permanent Commission-
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: Candidates must have passed a Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII.
REQUIRED AGE: 17 to 19½ years (i.e. born between 02-07-1995 & 01-01-1998, both dates inclusive).
PHYSICAL STANDARDS: As per given details below-
a- HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: Min height - 157 Cms. with correlated weight as per age.
b- EYE SIGHT: Min acceptable vision standard for distant vision is 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be color/ night blind.
PAY SCALE & PROMOTIONS: The promotion from Sub Lieutenant to Commander is on time scale basis and thereafter on selection basis subject to fulfillment of requisite service conditions.

REQUIRED FEE: No fee is required.
POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time to SC/ ST/ OBC & widows candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: 1-Candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their performance in Senior Secondary Examination 10+2 equivalents. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to short-list applications and to fix cut off percentage. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal/ Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam during Aug to Nov 14.
2-Stage 1 test, consisting of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests will be conducted on the second day of arrival at SSB. Candidate who fails to qualify in Stage 1 will be routed back on the same day.
3-Stage 2 Tests comprising of Psychological Testing, Group Testing and Interview will last for 4 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical examination (approx duration 3-5 days).
NOTE: 3rd AC rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, to and from home station if appearing for the first time.
TRAINING: The training is scheduled to commence in Dec 14.
Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for 4 year B. Tech course in Electronics & Communication or Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala. During the course, Cadets will be allotted Executive or Engineering including Naval Architect specialisation or Electrical Branch. On completion of the course, B. Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
NOTE: The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with free clothing and messing.
