POST WISE DETAILS: 45 Posts of Forest Ranger-
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A passed of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Applications/Computer Science, Engineering (Agricultural/ Chemical/Civil/ Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical), Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology from a recognised University.
REQUIRED AGE: The required age of a candidate should be in between of 21 – 38 years as on 01-01-2014.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST /OBC and Ex Serviceman category candidates.
PHYSICAL REQUREMENT: As per given details below-
Male Candidates- Height- 163 cm/ Chest- 84 cm (Expansion 05 cm).
Female Candidates- Height- 150 cm/ Chest- Chest Expansion – 05 cm.
Reservation of Height for ST and Others races
Male candidates: 152 cm.
Female candidates: 145 cm.
REQUIRED FEE: Original Treasury Receipt for Rs. 5.00 (Rs. 2.50 for SC/ST candidates) as Application fee and Rs. 50.00/- (Rs. 25.00/- for SC/ST candidates) as Examination fee showing the name of the post and deptt. and also full Head of Account “Non Tax Revenue, OTHER NON TAX REVENUE 0051 PSC, 102 STATE PSC Application/ Examination fee receipt of Assam Public Service Commission”.
PAY SCALE: Rs. 8000 – Rs. 35000/-+Grade Pay Rs 4500/-.
POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.
SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants will have to appear for a written examination for 2 compulsory papers and 2 optional subject papers. Total marks allotted for the written examination is 400. Successful candidates than will be called for an interview before the final list of selected candidates are published.
