NOTIFICATION: The Border Security Force (BSF) is a Border Guarding Force of India. Established on December 1, 1965, it is a paramilitary force charged with guarding India's land border during peace time and preventing transnational crime. It is a Union Government Agency under the administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs. It is one of the many law enforcement agency of India. It currently stands as the world's largest border guarding force. Border Security Force (BSF) invites offline applications for the recruitment of 609 vacant posts of Specialist Medical Officers, MO, Dental Surgeon in Central Armed Police Forces (CSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, CISF, NSG & Assam Rifles) from young, dynamic and motivated persons of Indian residents who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply offline at official website up to 14-07-2014.

POST WISE DETAILS: 609 posts of Medical Officers-
1- MEDICAL OFFICERS -Assistant Commandant: 390 posts.
Required Qualification: Candidates should have passed medical qualification of allopathic system from any state medical council/ MCI.
Required Age: Candidate’s age should not exceed 30 years.
2- SPECIALIST MEDICAL OFFICERS -Deputy Commandant: 218 posts.
Required Qualification Candidates should have passed PG Degree/Diploma in the specialty under the Section “A” or in Section “B” of the Indian Medical Council Act.
Required Age Candidate’s age should not exceed 40 years.
3- DENTAL SURGEON -Assistant Commandant: 01 post.
Required Qualification Candidates should have passed BDS from a recognized University.
Required Age: Candidate’s age should not exceed 35 years.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST /OBC & Ex Servicemen category candidates.
REQUIRED FEE: Candidates need to pay an amount of Rs. 50/- by the GEN & OBC category candidates through the crossed bank draft/ Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of the “DDO HQ DG BSF New Delhi-03” and payable at SBI CGO Complex New Delhi (Code No.7837).

POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.
