NOTIFICATION: The BSF is a border guarding force of the Government of India, established on 01 December 1965; it is one of the Central Armed Police Forces. Its primary role is to guard India's international borders during peacetime and also prevent transnational crime. It is a Union Government Agency under the administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs. It is one of the many law enforcement agency of India. It currently stands as the world's largest border guarding force. Border Security Force (BSF) invites offline applications for the recruitment of 1670 vacant posts of Constables /Tradesmen from young, experienced professionals, dynamic and motivated persons of Indian residents, eligible & interested candidates can apply through offline mode at official website up to 18-08-2014.

POST WISE DETAILS: 1670 Posts of Constable –Tradesmen-Male-
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University with 2 years work experience in respective trades or 1 year certificate course from Industrial Training Institute/Vocational Institute with at least 1 year experience in respective trade OR 2 years Diploma from Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade.
REQUIRED AGE: The required age of a candidate must be in between of 18 years -23 years as on 01-08-2014.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST /OBC and Ex Serviceman category candidates.
PAY SCALE: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2000/- + admissible usual allowances.
PHYSICAL STANDARD: The candidates must be mentally, physically & medically fit as per the force requirement.
REQUIRED FEE: Candidates belonging to General and OBC Category will be required to pay a Postal order or Demand Draft of Rs. 50/- as an application fee drawn in favour of Concerned IG/DIG/ Commandant/recruiting Unit payable at bank or post office of concerned Headquarter, under which their state falls.

POST RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.

2. PET- Physical Efficiency Test.
3. Written examination.
4. Technical Test (Trade Test).
5. Medical examination.
