POST WISE DETAILS: 2176 posts of Assistant Surgeon-
1- ASSISTANT SURGEON (General- MBBS): 2142 Posts.
2- ASSISTANT SURGEON (Dental): 34 Posts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: As per details given below-
Candidates should possess MBBS Degree for Sl. no 1 Post and BDS Degree for Sl. no 2 Post.
PAY SCALE: Rs.15600-39100/ + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s required age should be 35 years for Assistant Surgeon (General), 30 years for Assistant Surgeon (Dental) as on 01-07-2015 for unreserved candidates and no age limit for SC/ ST & BC reserved candidates.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs. 750/-by unreserved candidates and Rs. 375/- by SC/ SCA/ ST candidates to be paid through various mode of payment up to 03-09-2014-
1- ONLINE MODE: Candidates have to pay the fee through the online payment gateway, i.e. Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit card Payment.
2- OFFLINE MODE: Candidates have to pay the fee through System generated payment challan form at any of the branches of Indian Bank. Payment should be made within 2 working days from the date of registration/submission of application. (Payment challans forms will be generated only during 7 AM to 9 PM only).
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC) and Ex Serviceman candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test only.
DATE AND TIME OF TEST: 28-09-2014 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Examination will be held at CHENNAI.
HOW TO APPLY: For these posts eligible and interested candidates’ must apply online through official website up to 01-09-2014. Candidates must keep a hard copy of online submitted application form which will be required to be brought by the candidate if called for at the time of Interview along with all original documents with spare sets of attested photocopies of all certificates.
