REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A Passed of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Petroleum Engineering for Assistant Rigman/Diploma in Civil Engineering for Assistant Technician (Civil). Should have valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License for particular posts. Refer official notification.
ELIGIBILITY: Candidate should be registered with any of the Employment Exchanges/ Professional and Executive Employment Offices in the State of Tamil Nadu and Puduchery Union Territory.
REQUIRED AGE: The required age of a candidate should be in between of 18 years – 27/30 years as on 27-09-2014.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Government rules.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs.300/- by General & OBC candidates and Rs.100/- by ST/SC/PWD & Ex-serviceman candidate to be paid through the Challan Form downloaded from official website in any branch of State Bank of India in ONGC Account No. 30827318409. Branch Code: 1576.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), PWD and Ex Serviceman candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: The eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Written Test, Physical Standards measurement Test, Vision Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Heavy Vehicle Driving Skills Test, Stenography Test/Typing Test, and Interview.
Candidates will have to qualify at each stage separately and in aggregate.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the Written Test, to be held at Chennai. Admit Card for the test can be downloaded from ONGC website www.ongcindia.com using unique registration number and candidate’s date of birth.
Candidates applying for the post of Junior Assistant (Steno-English) will have to appear for a Stenography Test & Typing Test and those applying for Junior Assistant (Accounts/ MM/ P&A) will have to undergo Typing Test, if they qualify the written test. Those passing the tests will only be called for the Interview.
