NOTIFICATION: The Directorate General Defence Estates, New Delhi, have advisory and executive functions in matters relating to management of Defence lands and Civic Administration in 62 Cantonments. The Directorate General presently functions through six Principal Directorates at Jammu, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Lucknow, Pune and Jaipur. The Principal Directorates in turn supervise a number of field offices, such as offices of the Defence Estates Officers, Assistant Defence Estates officers and Cantonment Boards. These field offices are entrusted with the day to day management of defence lands and Cantonment Boards across the length and breadth of the country. 1- SUB DIVISIONAL OFFICER Grade-I (Group ‘C’) Non-Gazetted: 01 post- OBC.
Required Age: In between of 18 years – 32 years as on closing date.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs.4200/-.
2- SUB DIVISIONAL OFFICER Grade-III (Group ‘C’) Non-Gazetted: 24 posts- Gen-11, SC-04, ST-02, OBC-04, PH-01, Ex-s – 02.
Required Age: In between of 18 years – 27 years as on closing date.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2400/-.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: As per details given below-
• Sub Divisional Officer Grade-I: A passed of Degree in Civil Engineering (OR) Diploma in Civil Engineering and at least 03 years experience in the respective field.
• Sub Divisional Officer Grade-III: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent/ Diploma or certificate of a registered / recognized institute in surveying / Draftsmanship (Civil) of not less than 2 years.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: A Demand Draft of Rs.100/- by General & OBC candidates drawn in favour of “Principal Director, Defence Estates, Southern Command, Pune” and payable at Corporation bank, Southern Command Branch, Pune.
No application fee from SC/ST and all women candidates.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test, skill Test and interview of total150 Marks. The test paper will be bilingual i.e. Hindi and English. The Test and Interview will be held at Pune / Kirkee (Maharashtra).
