NOTIFICATION: The Anand Agricultural University came into existence from the 1st May, 2004 by enactment of Gujarat Agricultural University Act, 2004 (Gujarat Act., No.5 of 2004). Even before the idea of rural university was mooted by the Radha Krishnan Commission the foundation of a rural education and research institute for training of farmers' sons was laid in Anand by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India far back as in 1936. His dream later on took a shape in 1940 as the Institute of Agriculture, Anand with active cooperation of Dr. K. M. Munshi, the co-author of the Indian Constitution. REQUIRE QUALIFICATION: As per detail given below-
1. Registrar: A passed of Master degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent.
2. Principal: A passed of Master’s Degree with at least 55%o marks.
3. Professor: A passed of Ph. D qualification (s) in concerned/relevant discipline.
4. Associate Professor: A passed of Good academic record with a Ph. D Degree.
5. Assistant Professor: A passed of Master’s degree level in a relevant subject of concerned faculty from any Indian University.
REQUIRED AGE: The required age of a candidate should be below 35/45 and 55 years as on closing date (depends on post).
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: Processing fee for general candidate is Rs. 1000/- and for S.C. / S.T. / S.E.B.C./P.H. candidate of Gujarat is Rs. 250/-.
