NOTIFICATION: Gauhati High Court was established on 1 March 1948 after the Government of India Act 1935 was passed. It was originally known as the High Court of Assam and Nagaland, but renamed as Gauhati High Court in 1971 by the North East Areas. The High Court is a Constitutional Court in terms of Article 215. It is a Court of record and has all the powers of such Court including the power to punish for Contempt of itself and for Contempt of Courts Subordinate to it. Every High Court consists of a Chief Justice and such other Judges as the President of India from time to time deem it necessary. REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of Graduate in Law from any recognized University for Both posts. Should have 07 years of practice as an Advocate in the Court of Criminal & Civil for Grade-I.
PAY SCALE: As per details given below-
1. GRADE – I: Rs.51550-63070/- Per month.
2. GRADE – III: Rs.27700-44770/- Per month.
REQUIRED AGE: As per details given below-
1. Grade- I: Age limit not more than 35 years to 45 years for General & OBC and 48 years for SC/ST candidates.
2. Grade- III: Age limit not more than 35 years for General & OBC and 38 years for SC/ST candidates.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: No fee is required.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
