NOTIFICATION: The Konkan is a coastal strip of land bounded by the Sahyadri hills on the east, and Arabian Sea on the west. It is a land where mythology breathes side by side with economic growth, a land with rich mineral resources, dense forest cover and a landscape fringed with paddy, coconut and mango trees. The formidable terrain to be conquered and the short construction period meant that the project could only be completed with the help of several technological innovations. Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (KRCL) invites offline application for the recruitment of 20 vacant posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) from Indian residents who are eligible land loser candidates (Self / Sons / Spouse / Unmarried daughters / Grandsons / Unmarried Granddaughters only) whose land has been acquired for Konkan Railway project, irrespective of the percentage of land lost, and from only ST candidates from other than landlosers registered with the Employment Exchange along Konkan Railway route within the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri Districts of Maharashtra, Goa State and Karwar, Udupi and South Kannada Districts of Karnataka), & interested; candidates can apply offline at official website up to 20-01-2015.

POST WISE DETAILS: 20 posts of Junior Engineer-
ELIGIBILITY
CRITERIA: As per details given below-
1- Land
losers whose land has been acquired for Konkan Railway line Project
(Self / Sons / Spouse / Unmarried daughters / Grandsons/ Unmarried
Granddaughters only) are eligible.
2- Other than
Konkan Railway land losers, only ST
candidates from Employment Exchanges with valid registration along
Konkan Railway route within the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.
(Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri Districts of Maharashtra, Goa State, and
Karwar, Udupi and South Kannada Districts of Karnataka) are eligible.
3- Employees/Trainees of Konkan Railway are not
eligible.
PAY SCALE: Rs. 9300-34800/- + GP Rs. 4200/-.
REQUIRED AGE: The required age of an applicant should be in between of 18-35 years as on 01-01-2015.
AGE RELAXATION:
Relaxation
in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED
FEE: No application fee is required.
POST RESERVATION:
Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled
Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD),
Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates
will be selected on the basis of their performance in written
Examination and document verification. Separate panel will be prepared for land
loser candidates and other than landloser candidates. Priority for appointment
will be given to land loser candidates and only after exhausting the panel of
land losers, the second panel (other than land losers) will be operated
depending upon the shortfall in the vacancies notified.
Based on the applications received, eligible candidates will be called for written examination. Those who qualify in the written examination will be called for scrutiny of documents as per merit order. Candidates with all clear records and as per merit will be called for prescribed medical examination. The selected and medically fit candidates will be provisionally appointed based on the merit position.
MEDICAL
EXAMINATION: The applicants will have to pass the
prescribed medical examination as decided by the Management and to be conducted
at the candidate’s cost by Konkan Railway Corporation’s Medical Authorities.
The medically fit candidates will only be considered for recruitment in KRCL.
No alternative job will be provided if a candidate selected for a particular
category fails to qualify in the prescribed medical test of that category/post.

DOCUMENTS
TO BE ATTACHED WITH THE APPLICATION: As
per details given below-
A- Attested photo copies of
certificates of all qualifications, including
Matriculation/SSC/SSLC/Diploma/Degree certificate, in relevant trade as
mentioned above.
B- Valid Employment Exchange
Registration card for other than Land looser (ST).
C-Attested photocopy of caste
certificate in the prescribed format
required for Central Government Employment. (State govt format not acceptable).
D- Attested photo copy of land
loser certificate issued by Special Land Acquisition Officer/KRCL.
E- Attested photo copy of
certificate issued by Tehsildar indicating the percentage of land lost with
respect to the total land holding of the land loser (including all survey
numbers). Details on SLAO and Tehsildar certificates should match.
F- Attested photo copy of proof
of Date of Birth.
G- Two self attested passport
size photographs.
H- Proof of relationship with the
land loser issued by Revenue authorities alongwith Affidavit on Rs.100/- stamp
paper.
I- Undertaking on Rs.100/- stamp
paper as per KRCL format given below (Not required from SC/ST candidates).
J- Attested
photocopy of RTC documents of land (7/12 etc) pertaining to the year of acquisition of land by Konkan Railway. (Document of recent date not accepted).
