NOTIFICATION: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts National Defense Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) Examination once in a year. The much awaited UPSC National Defense Academy (NDA) Exam has been announced. This year also conducting the same for that, UPSC has notified NDA & NA -1 examination 2015 for entry into Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 135th Course and Naval Academy for 97th (10+2 Executive Branch) course commencing from January 2016. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications for the recruitment of 375 vacant posts of Commissioned Officers in various branches from unmarried male Indian residents who are eligible & interested; candidates can apply through online application up to 23-01-2015.

A- National Defence Academy: 320 Posts-
1- Army: 208 posts.
2- Navy: 42 posts.
3- Air Force: 70 posts.
B- Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 55 Posts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: As per details given below-
A- Army wing of National Defence Academy: A passed of 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or any University.
B- Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: A passed of 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or any University.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidates who have born in between of 02-07-1996 and 01-07-1999 only are eligible to apply for NDA-I 2015 i.e. a candidate’s age must lie in between 16 ½ -19 ½ years as on the 1st day of the month in which course is due to commence.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS: Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2015 as per guidelines.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs. 100/- as an application fee by General and other unreserved category candidates are required to pay in any State Bank of India branch/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or its subsidiary banks.
SC/ST category candidates and sons of JCO/NCO/ORs are exempted from paying of fee.
Recruitment of 51 vacant posts of Assistant Commandant, Assistant Aircraft Mechanic and Store man in BSF Air Wing.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Eligible candidates will be selected based on their performance in written examination followed by Psychological Aptitude Test, Intelligence Test and SSB Interview.
