Therefore there is an urgent need for a proper survey of such resources, and based on that an appropriate archaeological heritage resource management and policy can be formulated.
Archaeological Survey of India is one type of agency of India. It was founded in the year of 1784 and controlled by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The main duty of ASI is to do archaeological studies and the preservation of cultural monuments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: As per details given below-
1. Research Associate: A passed of a master’s degree in the Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology, Medieval Indian History, Archaeology or Anthropology from any recognized University/ equivalent.
2. Data Entry Operator: A passed of 10+2 from any recognized Board/ equivalent with the good knowledge of computer applications. Minimum Typing speed 8000 key depressions per hour, desirable: 1-2 Years experience in data feeding.
PAY SCALE: As per details given below-
1- Research Associate: Rs. 20,000/- per month.
2- Data Entry Operator: Rs.12, 000/- per month.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years - 35 years as on closing date.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: No application fee is required.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in test/ Interview.
