POST WISE DETAILS: 10 posts of Junior Research Fellow, Project Manager (PM) and Project Assistant (PA)-
1- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 6 posts.
Pay Scale: Rs.25000/- Consolidated Compensation.
2- Project Manager (PM): 1 post.
Pay Scale: Rs.50000/- Consolidated Compensation.
3- Project Assistant (PA): 3 posts.
Pay Scale: Rs.10000/- Consolidated Compensation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: As per details given below-
i) JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF): A passed of B. Tech/M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering /Biochemical Engineering/ Biotechnology / Environmental Engineering, or M. Tech./M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Botany/ Molecular Biology/ Agriculture/ Environment Science/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry. B. Tech/ M.Sc. candidates must have valid NET / GATE score. Candidates having practical knowledge on handling Cyan bacteria and algal culture, and bio reactors / Molecular Biology / Microbial processes / Modelling and Simulation will also get preference.
ii) PROJECT MANAGER (PM): A passed of a Ph. D degree in biological sciences/engineering/biotechnology with experience in patent handling and project management. The selected candidate would be coordinating with the team leaders and other scientists in managing the project, compiling the intellectual properties (IPs) and interacting with relevant industries for exploiting the IPs. The candidate must have good English communication skills, both written and oral.
iii) PROJECT ASSISTANT (PA): A passed of B. Tech. in Biochemical Engineering /Chemical Engineering /Biotechnology, or, M.Sc./B.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biochemistry. Graduate in any discipline may also apply if they have hands-on training/ skill in Microbiology/ Biotechnology wet labs and DNA-related work for at least five years. Candidates must have basic knowledge of computers.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s required age must be as per Institute rules
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: An amount of Rs.50/- by General & OBC Category candidates to be paid through a Bank Demand Draft drawn I favour of “IIT Kharagpur” and payable at Kharagpur.
No fee from Females & JRF candidates.
