NO.OF POSTS: 400 vacant posts of Sub inspectors in West Bengal Police.
1. Sub Inspector (Armed): 100 Posts.
2. Sub Inspector (Un- armed): 270 Posts.
3. Lady Sub Inspector (Un- armed): 30 Posts.
ELIGIBILITY: The candidates shall be from amongst the Constables and the Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Police of West Bengal Police and Havildar / Naik/ Lance Naik and Rifleman of E.F.R. Bns having minimum 3 (three) years of satisfactory service as on 01/01/2015. However, the Police Drivers and Wireless Operators of West Bengal Police and Police Drivers of EFR Battalions are NOT eligible to apply for the post. Candidates having (i) pending departmental proceedings, (ii) currency of punishment and (iii) pending criminal / vigilance case will not be eligible to apply.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of Graduation or its equivalent in any discipline from any recognized University.
PAY SCALE: Rs. 7100-37600/- + G.P Rs. 3900/-.
REQUIRED AGE: Max required age should not exceed 35 years as on 01-01-2015.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: No application fee is required.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written examination, Physical Measurement test and Personality test.
