NOTIFICATION: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has notified a recruitment to fill up various vacant posts of Research Associate /Assistant, CARTOGRAPHERS, Doctoral Fellow (RA-I) and Junior Research Fellow through walks in interview/ Post Graduate Degree/ Ph. D/Age as per rule/Pay Rs. 16000/- as per post/Interview/ JNU Recruitment 2015 RA & JRF Vacancies/Apply Offline up to 01/10/14-09-2015.
ABOUT: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is the vision that ideas are a field for adventure, experimentation and unceasing quest and diversity of opinions its chief premise. In the early 1970s, when JNU opened its doors to teachers and students, frontier disciplines and new perspectives on old disciplines were brought to the Indian university system. The excellent teacher-student ratio at 1:10, a mode of instruction which encouraged students to explore their own creativity instead of reproducing received knowledge, and an exclusively internal evaluation were a new experiment on the Indian academic landscape; these have stood the test of time. The very Nehruvian objectives embedded in the founding of the University, national integration, social justice, secularism, the democratic way of life, international understanding and scientific approach to the problems of society had built into it constant and energetic endeavour to renew knowledge through self-questioning. The once rugged terrain of the Aravali hill range, where the 1000 -acre campus is housed is now lush green. 1 - Research Associate / Assistant -
Pay Scale: Rs. 16000 (for Ph. D. degree holders) and Rs. 13000 (for M. Phil degree holders).
Required Qualification: A passed of Ph. D./ M. Phil in Political Science or International Studies.
2 – Cartographers -
Pay Scale: Rs. 4,000 per map.
Required Qualification: A passed of M.A. in Geography with expertise in GIS Software, Arc GIS, ERDAS imagine.
3 - Postdoctoral Fellow (RA-I) -
Pay Scale: Rs. 36,000/- per month + HRA.
Required Qualification: A passed of Ph. D. in International Studies.
4 - Junior Research Fellow -
Pay Scale: As per DST rules.
Required Qualification: A passed of M. Sc in any branch of biological science/ Bioinformatics with prior experience. The candidate should be CSIR/UGC/NET qualified; however candidates graduated with subjects in whom no NET exam is conducted by UGC are exempted.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s age should be as per JNU rules.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: No application fee.
