NOTIFICATION: Eastern Railway recruitment, Indian Railway, West Bengal, has notified a recruitment to fill up 525 vacant posts of Apprentices from the candidates who have passed 10th or its equivalent with ITI in relevant trade from a recognized Board and having age below 24 years. Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test, skill test & Viva Voce. Seelected candidates will be paid a stipend as per Govt. rules for entire training period. ABOUT: The Eastern Railway (ER) is one of the 17 zones of the Indian Railways. Its headquarters is at Fairlie Place, Kolkata, and comprises four divisions: Howrah, Malda, Sealdah, and Asansol. Each division is headed by a divisional railway manager (DRM). The name of the division denotes the name of the city where the divisional headquarters is located. It has three major workshops: Jamalpur, Liluah, and Kanchrapara. The Jamalpur Workshop is for wagon repair, periodic overhaul (POH) of diesel locomotives, manufacturing of cranes and tower-wagons; the Liluah workshop is for POH of coaching & freight vehicles and the Kanchrapara workshop is for POH of electric locomotives, EMU Locals and coaches.

AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: A non refundable Application Fee of Rs. 40/- in the form of a Cross IPO to be send by General & OBC candidates along with Application form for Eastern Railway Recruitment 2015.
