NOTIFICATION: Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLC) (A Govt of India Undertaking) has notified a recruitment to fill up 390 vacant posts of Graduate and Technician Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 purely on 01 year Training in various subject fields from the candidates who have qualified in Diploma / Graduate Engineering and having eligible age limit. The Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test, skill test and personal interview. The selected candidates will be paid a salary as per Govt. Rules. ABOUT: Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLC) is a government-owned lignite mining and power generating company in India. NLC operates the largest open-pit lignite mines in India, presently mining 24 MT of lignite and has an installed capacity of 2,740 MW of electricity. It also supplies a large quantity of sweet water to Chennai from the artesian aquifers in the lignite mines. On 11 April 2011, it joined the elite group of Navratna Companies.[4] In 1956 NLC was formed as a corporate body.

1. Technician Apprenticeship Training (TAT): 210 posts - Mechanical Engineering - 70, Electrical Engineering - 60, Civil Engineering - 20, Instrumentation - 10, Chemical Engineering - 10, Mining Engineering - 10, Computer Science & Engg. - 10, Electronics & Communication - 10, Commercial Practice – 10.
Pay Scale/Stipend: Rs. 3542/- Per Month (Inclusive of all).
2. Graduate Apprentice Training (GAT): 180 posts - Mechanical Engineering - 50, Electrical Engineering -560, Civil Engineering - 15, Instrumentation - 10, Chemical Engineering - 10, Mining Engineering - 10, Computer Science & Engg. - 10, Electronics & Communication - 10, Transportation Engineering – 15.
Pay Scale/Stipend: Rs.4984/- Per Month (inclusive of all).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: As per details given below -
• Technician Apprenticeship Training (TAT): A passed of Diploma in Engineering in the respective Discipline with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST). For Commercial Practice - Diploma in Commercial Practice with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) from any recognized University.
• Graduate Apprentice Training (GAT): A passed of Graduate in Engineering in the respective Discipline with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) from any recognized University.
OTHER ELIGIBILITY -
(1) Candidates belonging to the States of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and the Union Territories of Puducherry and Laksha Dew only are eligible.
(2) Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam on or after 01-01-2013.
(3) Candidates should not have undergone or presently undergoing Apprenticeship Training in NLC or elsewhere.
(4) Candidates should not have experience of one year or more in any job.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s age should be as per rules.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: Refer notification.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
