NOTIFICATION: Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam has notified a recruitment to fill up Non-Executive 161 vacant posts Tradesman (Skilled) vacancies in Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial, Industrial from the eligible desirous candidates of Ex-Apprentices of Dockyard Apprentice School (DAS), Visakhapatnam only who have successfully completed their apprentice training by April 2012 (the DAS(V) batch passed out in April 2012 from the candidates who have qualified in National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) in Feeder trades obtained from DAS (V)/Matriculation or equivalent and having eligible age limit. The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test. The selected candidates will be paid a salary as per Govt. Rules. No.HHC/Admn.3(55)/2012-. ABOUT: The primary objective of Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam (VZG) is timely and successful completion of scheduled refits of ships, submarines and Yard Crafts. ND (VZG) is also required to provide repair facilities to operational ships of the Indian Navy, operating in the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) area, which are beyond the capabilities of the ship's staff and Maintenance Units viz. FMU / FMU(VZG), SMU (VZG), NRW and FTSU(VZG).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: A passed of National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) in Feeder trades obtained from DAS (V)/Matriculation or equivalent from any recognized Board/Institute.
REQUIRED AGE: 18 to 25 years as on 30-11-2015.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED FEE: A non refundable application fee of Rs. 300/- by General and Rs. 150/- by SC/ ST/ OBC candidates to be paid through E-Payment by using Debit or Credit card (s) or net banking etc.
POST RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test.
SYLLABUS/PATTERN: Written examination consisting of 100 marks of objective type questions of General Knowledge, General English and Technical subject in appropriate feeder trade. (d) The qualifying marks for the suitability (written) test is 50% for Un-Reserved candidates. 40% for reserved (ST/ST/OBC) candidates against reserved vacancies. (e) All candidates who are otherwise eligible and have scored qualifying marks will be considered for absorption as per their inter-se seniority list prepared based on their year of passing out from Dockyard Apprentice School, Visakhapatnam to the extent vacancies are available in the trade.
