NOTIFICATION: Indian Coast Guard (ICG - Ministry of Defence), an Armed Force of the Union inviting online applications for filling up various vacant posts of Yantrik (Yantrik-01/2017) from eligible and interested willing male candidates. PAY SCALE: ₹ 5200 – 20200/-+ Grade Pay ₹ 2400/-.
REQUIRED AGE: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years - 22 years i.e.born between 01 February 1995 to 31 January 1999.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.

SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability/eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in Written Test (Objective Type), Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination.
1. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Recruitment Written Test (Objective Type).
2. Those who qualify written tests will undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and initial Medical Examination. The testing procedures will take1-2 days.
3. Recruitment Test: The Written Test scheduled to be held on September / October 2016. The questions paper will contain questions from their respective branch(Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics & Telecommunication) and will also include some questions of general knowledge, reasoning aptitude & English.
4. The Physical Fitness Test will be conducted for all those who pass the written tests. Qualifying PFT as per the standards given below is compulsory. The PFT will consist as under: 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak), 10 Push ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.
5. Candidates those who qualify the Physical Fitness Test will be required to undergo initial recruitment medical examination at the respective recruitment
centre.
6. Based on the performance in the written examination, candidates will be shortlisted for medical examination in a ratio as may be decided by Coast Guard. Mere declaration of fit in initial medical examination does not indicate selection of the candidate for the final medical at INSChilka.
7.The select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all the tests depending upon the available vacancies. The All India select list of candidates will be displayed in the Indian Coast Guard Website in the month of January 2017.
Physical/Medical Standards: As per details given below -
1. Medical examination will be conducted by authorized military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry.
2. Height - Minimum height 157 cms. Relaxation in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. orders.
3. Chest - Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
4. Weight - Proportionate to height and age +10% acceptable.
5. Hearing – Normal.
6. No Cardio-vascular disease, surgical deformities like knock knee, flat feet etc. infection of ears, no history of fits or psychiatric ailment, varicose vein, corrective surgery for eye sight etc.
7. Visual Standards. 6/24 without glasses and 6/9 & 6/12 with glasses for better Eye and Worse Eye respectively.
8. Initial Medical Examination for recruitment will be considered only "Provisionally fit subject to fitness in the final medical examination" Final Medical Examination of all selected candidates will be done at INS Chilka. Candidates who are NOT found medically fit in the final medical examination at INS Chilka will NOT be enrolled for training. No "Appeal" is permitted for review after the final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka.
