IBPS Result - PO 2016 – The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has declared IBPS PO 2016 result of preliminary exam on 04-11-2016. The scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Preliminary Examination will be available soon on website. On the basis of IBPS PO prelims result 2016, shortlisted candidates have been listed to appear in IBPS PO 2016 mains exam scheduled to be conducted on 20-11-2016.
IBPS PO 2016 result has been declared for those candidates who have scored qualifying/passing marks in recruitment examination. On the basis of IBPS PO result 2016, at each stage of examination (Pre, Mains & Interview), adequate number of candidates from each category will be shortlisted for appearing in subsequent final rounds of selection procedure. An average 2 - 3 lakh candidate are selected for mains exam based on the result of IBPS PO 2016 prelims result. Depending upon vacancies, IBPS selects sufficient numbers of candidates for next stage of recruitment process i.e. Mains exams. And for the Interview of IBPS PO 2016, the examination authority will filter adequate numbers of candidates which will be equal to 3 - 4 times of the total vacancies available. IBPS PO 2016 final result will be declared in the month of April 2017, based on which candidates will be recruited for the post of Probationary Officer (PO)/Management Trainee (MT) in participating banks and financial organisations. While deriving IBPS PO result 2016 of online test, examination authority has adopted equi-percentile method of normalization to obtain scores of candidates appeared in different online test sessions. Scores up to two decimal points has been taken for the purpose of calculating IBPS PO Result 2016. Candidates must note that marks obtained in IBPS PO 2016 mains exam will be considered for shortlisting candidates for interview and also while preparing final merit.
Interview Marks Schedule: The total marks allotted for IBPS PO 2016 interview is 100. General category candidates must score at least 40% to qualify the interview. The qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates in interview are 35%. The final result of IBPS PO 2016 will be based on weightage-ratio of 80:20 for Mains and Interview respectively.
