EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: As per details given below –
1. Tradesman (Skilled) -All Trades: A passed of 10th class / equivalent with knowledge of English. Must have completed Apprenticeship training in the trade and holding NAC in the relevant trade issued by NCVT OR Mechanic / equivalent with 2 years regular service in the appropriate Technical Branch of the Navy/Army / Air Force.
2. Tradesman Mate (Erstwhile MTS (lnd)/ USL): A passed of 10th class from a recognized Board/ Institution.
3. MTS-Mali: A passed of Matriculation/10th class and proficiency in the concerned trade.
4. Civilian Motor Driver (OG): A passed of Matriculate / equivalent with knowledge of first line maintenance and must have a driving licence for Heavy Vehicles and Motor Cycles or 1 year practical experience in Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) driving.
5. Engine Driver (Steam/Motor): A passed of Matriculate or equivalent and certificate of Competency as Engine Driver 2nd Class or 2 years’ service as a Syrang ER (Now Engine Driver)/Tindal on a vessel of over 400 B.H.P.
6. Engine Driver: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent and should have permit from Mercantile Marine Department for Class III Driver with 2 years of experience as Crew Engine Room.
7. Topass: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent and knowledge of swimming.
8. Fireman: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent with 3 years’ service in a Sea going vessel.
PAY SCALE: As per details given below -
1. Driver, Tradesman: Rs.19900 – 63200/-.
2. Engine Driver: Rs.25500 – 81100/-.
3. Engine Driver Grade-II: Rs.29200 – 92300/-.
4. All other posts: Rs.18000 – 56900/-.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years to 25/35 years for Indian Navy Recruitment 2017 notification 97 Group C Posts.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
