NOTIFICATION: Indian Air Force (IAF) (A Government of India, Ministry of Defence) inviting online applications for filling up various vacant posts of Commissioned Officers in Flying Branch in course No. (203/18F/PC/M) & (203/18F/SSC/M & W) from eligible and interested willing candidates. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of Graduates with minimum 3 year Degree course in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks or equivalent and have passed Maths & Physics at 10+2 level or BE/B.Tech degree (4 year course)/ Candidates who have cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent are also eligible. Candidates must have NCC Air Wing Senior Division 'C' certificate acquired on or after 21 May 15 is mandatory.
PAY SCALE: Rs.15600 - 39100/- per month + Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, Dearness Allowance, Kit Maintenance Allowance, Transport Allowance.
On successful completion of Training, newly commissioned Flying officers would be entitled to approximate gross monthly emoluments in different branches including Transport Allowance of major cities as Flying Branch - Rs.82050/-pm.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 20 to 24 years as on 01-01-2018 i.e. born between 02 Jan 1994 to 01 Jan 1998 (Both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidate holding valid and current commercial pilot licence issued by DGCA (India) is relax able up to 26 years i.e born between 02 Jan1992 to 01 Jan 1998 (Both dates inclusive).
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates for Indian Air Force NCC Special Entry Scheme Recruitment 2017.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS: As per details given below -
a. Height: 162.5 cms, Leg Length: Min - 99 cms, Max - 120 cms. Thigh Length: Max - 64 cms, Sitting Height: Min - 81.5 cms. Max- 96 cms.

Type of Commission: As per details given below -
A. PC for Men: Candidates joining as PC Officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation.
B. SSC for Men & Women: The Engagement period for SSC Flying Branch is 14 years from the date of Commissioning (Not extendable).
POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC/ WomenWidows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.

SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability/eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in SSB, PET and Medical Test.
Note: All applicants whose applications are submitted by due date will be called for testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore and Varanasi. The testing would consist of 3 stages as given below:-
1. Stage-I: Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion Test will be conducted on the first day. Stage-I test is a screening test and only those who qualify would undergo subsequent testing. All Stage-I qualified candidates would be subjected to document check to ascertain their eligibility for NCC Special Entry Scheme applied for. Those candidates who either do not qualify in Stage-I or do not meet the required eligibility criteria would be sent back on the first day itself.
2. Stage-II: Testing consisting of Psychological, Group Tests and Interview will commence after document check for the next five days.
3. Stage III: Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) would be administered to recommended candidates only. This is once in a lifetime test. Candidates who have failed the (CPSS)/PABT in an earlier attempt or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy will not be eligible to apply.
