NOTIFICATION:        Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Home Ministry, Govt. of India inviting offline applications for filling up 355 vacant posts of Constables (GD) (male & female) under Sports Quota scheme on temporary basis from eligible and interested willing candidates. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:       A passed of Matriculation or its equivalent from an Indian registered University or Board.

SPORTS QUALIFICATION:     Players who have participated in any International Sports events as a member of the Indian Squad for last 01 year and players who have won medal (s) in any National Games/ Championships recognized by Indian Olympic Association, Sports Federation of (concerned sport) for last 01 year i.e. in between 01-04-2016 to 31-03-2017.

PAY SCALE:      Rs. 21700/- Per Month.

AGE LIMIT:     Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years – 23 years as on 01-01-2017 for SSB Recruitment 2017 Apply for 355 Constable (GD) Sports Quota.

AGE RELAXATION:      As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.

REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE:    For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. An amount of Rs. 100/-in the form of a DD/IPO/Banker Cheque is to be paid by General & OBC candidates -

SELECTION PROCESS:      Applicants who are screened for applicability/ eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in PET, written exam, Skill test and Medical test -

1. Physical Endurance test.

2. Physical Measurement Test.

3. Medical Test.

4. Written Test.

5. Document Verification.

Tests:        At first, candidate should have appear in Bio-Metric Examination in which Photograph and signature of candidate should be report with SSB Admit Card at recruitment venue followed by different stages like -

Documentation:     In the step of documentation, candidate should have produce all original document/ certificates pertaining to age, education, caste sports activities (National/ International), proof to avail age relaxation etc.

Physical Standard Test (PST):      All those candidate who qualify in documentation should have undergo for Physical Standard Test (PST). In the Physical Standard Test (PST), candidate’s Height, Chest & Weight will be measured.


Medical Exam:      After qualifying the Physical Standard Test, candidate should have appear for Medical Examination in which visibility of candidates will be checked.
