INSTRUCTIONS
1. The posts are subject to all
India Service Labiality including Field service.
2. All the selection process
will be carried out at AOC Centre, Secunderbad – 15
3. SC/ST/OBC candidates who
apply against Gen (UR) vacancies are not eligible for the age and other
concessions meant for SC/ST/OBC
4. OBC candidates seeking
reservation of OBC are required to submit (scanned and upload) a certificate of
regarding OBC and Non creamy layer status issued by competent civil authority
5. Selection of all Group ‘C’
posts will be made solely based on marks obtained by the applicants in the
written test only subject to qualifying in the practical/physical/
skill/trade/typing tests.
6. All appointment are
initially on temporary basis but likely to be made permanent.
7. All candidates need to be
medically fit and medical exam will be carried out on selection of the
candidate.
8. Shortlisted candidates will
be intimated later, on by email/SMS for reporting for selection test. The
candidate must bring out of their application form duly photo pasted with all
the essential original documents and valid photo ID which has been uploaded at
the time of submission of online application.
9. HQ Southern Command (Ord)
reserves the right not to fill up all the posts some/any of the posts, if it so
desires. The number of vacancies indicated in the advertisement may vary i.e.
increase or decrease at any stage during the course of recruitment.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: As per details given below -
1. Material Assistant (Superintendent Store): A passed of Graduate in any discipline from any recognized University or Diploma in Material Management or Diploma in Engineering in any Discipline from any recognized Institute.
2. LDC: A passed of 12th class or equivalent from recognized Board or University and must be having a knowledge of English typing @35 w.p.m. on a computer or Hindi typing @ 30 w.p.m on a computer (35 words per minute and 30 words per minute corresponding to 10500/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.
3. Telephone Operator Grade-II: A passed of Matriculate or equivalent with English as the compulsory subject and must having proficiency in handling in PBX Board and fluency in spoken English.
4. Steno Grade II: (i) A passed of 12th or equivalent from recognized Board or University.
5. Fireman: A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board or University.
6. Cook: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent from recognized Board with Diploma in cooking from any recognized Institute e.g. ITI/Vocational College.
7. Tradesman Mate: A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board or University.
8. Safaiwala, Messenger, Gardner & Female Searcher: A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board or University and must be Conversant with the duties of the respective trades with one years experience in the trade
9. Washerman: A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board or University. Conversant with the duties of the respective trades with one years experience in the trade.
10. Armourer: A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board and must be having a Certificate from a recognized Technical Training Institute in the specified trade or equivalent Defence services tradesman courses and 03 years‟ experience in the trade.
11. Fitter or Fitter (MV): A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board and must be having a Certificate from a recognized ITI in the trade or 03 years training or experience of actual work in a Govt workshop or in a private firm of repute.
12. Tin & Copper Smith: A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board and must be having a Certificate from a recognized ITI in the trade or 03 years training or experience of actual work in a Govt workshop or in a private firm of repute.
13. Vehicle Mechanic: A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board and must be having a Certificate in the trade from a recognized ITI or 03 years training or experience of actual work in the trade or allied trade in a Govt workshop or in a private firm of repute.
14. Barber: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent from recognized Board with proficiency in Barbers trade job with 1 year experience in the trade.
15. Vendor: A passed of Matriculation from any recognized Board.
16. Tailor: A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board and must be having a Certificate in the trade from a recognized ITI or 03 years training or experience of actual work in the trade or allied trade in a Govt workshop or in a private firm of repute.
17. Carpenter & Joiner: A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board and must be having a Certificate in the trade from a recognized ITI or 03 years training or experience of actual work in the trade or allied trade in a Govt workshop or in a private firm of repute.
18. CMD (OG): A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board. Must possess the civilian driving license for heavy vehicles and have 2 years experience of driving such vehicles.
19. Saddler: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent from recognized Board with proficiency in trade.
20. Electrician: A passed of Matriculation from recognized Board. Certificate in the trade from any recognized ITI or 03 years training or experience of actual work in the trade or allied trade in a Govt workshop or in a private firm of repute.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s age should be in between of 18 to 25/27 years as on closing day for AOC Centre Secunderabad Ordnance Units Recruitment 2017 for 818 MTS Mate & other Posts.
• Tradesman Mate/LDC/Fireman: 18 to 25 years.
• Material Assistant: 18 to 27 years.
AGE RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable as per the Govt. rules for SC/ ST & OBC category candidates.

AOC PAY SCALE: As per details given below –
• Material Assistant: Rs. 5200-20000/- + Grade Pay Rs 2800/-.
• Lower Division Clerk, Fireman, Cook, Armourer, Tele Operator, CMD (OG), Saddler, Fitter (MV), Tin & Copper Smith, Vehicle Mech, Tailor, Painter & Decorator, Carpenter & Joiner, Electrician: Rs. 5200-20000/-+ Grade Pay Rs 1900/-.
• Steno Grade II: Rs. 5200-20000/-+ Grade Pay Rs 1800/-.
RESERVATION: The reservation for different categories will be regulated as per provision of the Govt. of India as amended from time to time.
AOC SECUNDERABAD SELECTION PROCESS: The applicants will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test, Physical Endurance Test (PET), Physical Test and Typing Proficiency Test (Written Exam, Physical/Practical/Skill tests).
A -Firemen: Physical Endurance Test (PET) -
(i) Run - 1.6 Km in 6 min.
(ii) Carrying a man of 63.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
(iii) Clearing 2.7 mtrs wide ditch & landing on both feet (long jump).
(iv) Climbing 3 meters vertical rope using both hands and feet.
B -Tradesmen Mate: Physical Test -
(i) Run - 1.5 Km in 6 min.
(ii) Endurance test with a weight of 50 Kg sand bag to a distance of 200 meters in 100 seconds.
