2. Medical Officer (General Duty): 111 Posts.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: As per details given below –

1. Medical Officer (Specialties): Any of the Medical qualifications included in the First and Second Schedule or Part – II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal & Recognized Post-Graduate qualification in a particular speciality or equivalent qualification. Post-Graduate qualifications :- for (i) Radiology -MD/DMRD/DNB, (ii) Anesthesiology -MD/DA/DNB, (iii) Pathology -MD/DNB, (iv) Orthopedics -MS/DNB, (v) Surgery -MS/DNB, (vi) Medicine -MD/DNB, (vii) Biochemistry -MD/DNB & (viii) Pediatrics -MD/DNB.

2. Medical Officer (General Duty): Any of the Medical qualifications included in the First and Second Schedule and Part – II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal. 06 months’ practical training as House Staff in Government hospital or other recognized Institution is desirable.

NOTE: 1. Ability to read, write & speak in Bengali language is essential.

2.Selected candidates must be registered as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal prior to joining.

3.Selected candidates may, if required, be liable, before completing ten years’ service or ordinarily before attaining the age of 45, to serve in any post or service connected with Defence of India for a minimum period of 4 years including period of training.

PAY SCALE: Rs.15600 – Rs.42000/-+ Grade Pay Rs.5400/- + E.S.I. allowance, non-practicing allowance and certain admissible allowances as per rules.

AGE LIMIT: Not more than 36 years for ordinary Medical Graduates and 40 years for those possessing Post-graduate Medical qualifications on 01-01-2018 for WBPSC Recruitment 2018 Online 165 Medical Officers Application Form.

AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
