1. Assistant Engineer (Civil), Water Resources Department, PWD -Tamil Nadu Engineering Service: 70 posts.
2. Assistant Engineer (Civil), Buildings, PWD -Tamil Nadu Engineering Service: 23 posts.
3. Assistant Engineer (Electrical) PWD -Tamil Nadu Engineering Service: 42 posts.
4. Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Highways Department-Tamil Nadu Engineering Service: 160 posts.
5. Assistant Engineer in Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department Tamil Nadu Panchayat Development Service: 29 posts.
TNPSC EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of B.E/B. Tech Degree in Civil/Civil and Structural/Electrical Engineering from any recognised University OR cleared Sections A and B of the Institution Examination with Civil/Electrical Engineering as a subject. Candidate should have adequate knowledge of Tamil Language
TNPSC PAY SCALE: Rs. 9300-34800/- +Grade Pay Rs. 5100/-.
TN PSC AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 21 years - 30 years as on 01-07-2018 for TNPSC Combined Engineering Services Exam 2018 for 324 Assistant Engineers (AE).
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
APPLICATION FEES: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. An amount of Rs. 150/- by General & OBC candidates have to register their basic particulars through One -Time Registration which is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates have to pay application fee in the form of Online through Bank (State Bank of India or Indian Bank) up to 28-03-2018. An examination fee of Rs. 200/- to be paid by General & OBC candidates by online through Net Banking/Credit card/Debit card or it can be paid by offline at State Bank of India / Indian Bank within 2 days from the date of submission of online application by choosing the option in the online application.
SC/ST/Differently Abled Persons are exempted from the payment of Examination fee.
RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/ Women /Ex Servicemen/Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.
TNPSC SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability /eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in Written Examination and Oral Test in the shape of an interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the Applicants at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments. Applicant’s appearance in the Written Examination and Oral Test is compulsory.
