VACANCY FORMS: 166 vacant posts of Grade ‘B’ (General) – DR, DEPR and DSIM in Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Mumbai.
Discipline Wise Vacancies –
1- Officers Grade B (DR) General: 127 Posts.
2- Officers Grade B (DR) DEPR: 22 posts.
3- Officers Grade B (DR) DSIM: 17 posts.
QUALIFICATION EDUCATION: As per details given below –
1. Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General): A passed with minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th standard examinations. The minimum qualifying percentage or an equivalent grade for the Bachelor’s degree will be in aggregate for all semesters / years.
2. Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR: A passed of Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute. Candidates having M.Phil Degree and Doctorate Degree from a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute in the specified subjects will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit by 2 year and 4 years respectively.)
3. Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM: A passed of a Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an institute of repute OR M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute OR Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta.
PAY SCALE: Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 35,150/- p.m. in the scale of Rs. 35150-1750 (9)-50900-EB-1750 (2)-54400-2000 (4)-62400 applicable to Officers in Grade B and they will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family allowance and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments are approximately Rs. 75,831/-(approx.).
Perquisites: Bank's accommodation subject to availability, reimbursement of expenses for maintenance of vehicle for official purpose, newspaper, telephone charges, book grant, allowance for furnishing of residence, etc. as per eligibility. Free dispensary facility besides reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment/hospitalization as per eligibility. Interest free festival advance, Leave Fare Concession (once in 2 years for self, spouse and eligible dependents) is applicable. Loans and Advances at concessional rates of interest for Housing, Vehicle, Education, Consumer Articles, Personal Computer, etc. Selected candidates will be governed by 'the defined contribution New Pension Scheme (NPS)', in addition to the benefit of Gratuity.
AGE CALCULATOR: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 21 years - 30 years as on 01-07-2018 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 1997. For candidates possessing M.Phil and Ph. D qualification upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively.
RELAXATION TECHNIQUES: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates for RBI Recruitment 2018 for 166 Grade B Officer Posts.
APPLICATION FEE PROCEDUR/APPLICATION FEE CONCESSION: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. An amount of Rs. 850/- (including intimation charges) by General & OBC candidates and Rs. 100/- (only intimation charges) by SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates to be paid through ONLINE mode using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/MasterCard /Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen.
Bank Staff are exempted from this fee payment.
RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/ Women/Ex Servicemen/Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.
SELECTION PROCESS/SELECTION SORT: Applicants who are screened for applicability/ eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in Preliminary and Main examination followed by an Interview -
1- Examination will consist of two phases, viz. - Phase-I & Phase-II followed by interview.
2- Phase-I examination will be objective type with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The Phase-I examination will continue as per the existing Phase-I examination for Grade-‘B’ (DR). There are four modules in Phase-I, viz.- General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.
3- Phase-II examinations will consist of three papers in MCQ pattern (except Paper-I) – viz. Paper-I on English (writing skills); Paper-II – Economic & Social Issues and Paper-III – (optional subjects) – Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics.
4- Candidates will be required to write all the papers online.
5- Only successful candidates of Phase-I will appear for Phase-II examination on a later date.
6- Based on the results of Phase-II examinations candidates will be shortlisted for interview.
7- Final selection will be through merit lists which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) and Interview.
Grade B Tier I Exam: 16 August 2018.
Grade B Tier II Exam: 07 September 2018.
You will be selected for the post of your choice through Online Examination.
The online examination will be carried out in 3 Phases:
1. Prelims Exam.
2. Mains Exam.
3. Interview.
NOTE: No Negative Marking is mentioned in the Official Notification.
RBI Grade ‘B’ Recruitment – Phase I - Prelims -
The examination will be of Objective Type or MCQ.
It will be held for the duration of 02 hours (200 marks).
The modules for Phase I will be –
1. General Awareness.
2. English Language.
3. Quantitative Aptitude.
4. Reasoning.
RBI Grade ‘B’ Recruitment – Phase II - Mains -
Those of you who clear Phase I will appear for Phase II.
There will be 3 MCQ type Online Papers.
The subjects for the papers will be -
1. English Writing Skills.
2. Economic & Social Issues.
3. Optional Paper (Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics).
Each paper will be held for duration of 1.5 hours.
Each paper carries 100 marks.
RBI Grade ‘B’ – Phase III - Interview -
Once you clear Phase I & II, you will be called for an Interview.
The Interview will carry 50 marks.
