To be getting selected in this organization screened candidates will have to pass in Written Test and Oral Test in the form of an interview conducted by authorized officials. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: As per details given below -
1.Librarian Grade-I: A passed of a Degree in Arts or Science or Commerce from University recognized by the University Grants Commission and must possess a degree in Library Science from any University recognized by the University Grants Commission or from any recognized Institution or Board; and must possess practical experience in Cataloguing and abstracting in a Library connected with any recognized Educational and Scientific Institution or Industrial Concern for a period of not less than 2 years.
2. Librarian in Agriculture: A passed of a Degree and must possess B.Lib Science Degree (provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to a candidate who has an adequate knowledge of French/German/Previous experience as Librarian in a Library of any college affiliated to a University or a Research Institute or a well established District Library.
3. Film Librarian in Agriculture: A passed of a Degree and must possess B.Lib Science Degree (provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to a candidate who has an adequate knowledge of French/German/ Previous experience as Librarian in a Library of a college affiliated to a University or a Research Institute or a well established District Library.
4. Librarian and Information Assistant Grade-I: A passed of a Bachelor’s Degree of any University recognized by the University Grants Commission and a Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a University recognized by the University Grants Commission.
5. Librarian and Information Assistant Grade-II: A passed of a Bachelor’s Degree of any University recognized by the University Grants Commission and a Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a University recognized by the University Grants Commission.
6. Librarian in Legislative Assembly Secretariat: A passed of a Bachelor’s degree in any subject and a Degree in Library and Information Science of any University recognized by the University Grants Commission.
KNOWLEDGE IN TAMIL: Applicants should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil on the date of this Notification.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years – 30/35 years as on 01-07-2018 for TNPSC Recruitment 2018 Notification of 29 Librarian Posts | Apply Online.

4. Librarian and Information Assistant Grade-I for Anna Centenary Library in Public Libraries Department - Tamil Nadu Educational Subordinate Service: Rs.36200-114800/- (Level-15).
5. Librarian and Information Assistant Grade-II for Anna Centenary Library in Public Libraries Department - Tamil Nadu Educational Subordinate Service: Rs.19500-62000/- (Level-08).
6. Librarian in Legislative Assembly Secretariat - Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Secretariat Service: Rs.56900-180500/- (Level-23).
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. An amount of Rs. 150/- by General & OBC candidates to be paid for register their basic particulars through One -Time Registration which is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates have to pay application fee through Online through Bank (State Bank of India or Indian Bank) up to 18-12-2018. An examination fee of Rs. 150/- to be paid by General & OBC candidates online through Net banking / Credit card / Debit card or it can be paid by offline at SBI/at Indian Bank within 2 days from the date of submission of online application, by choosing the option in the online application.
SC/ST/Differently Abled Persons are exempted from the payment of Examination fee.
POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/ Women /Ex Servicemen/Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.
CENTRE FOR EXAMINATION: Examination will be held in 4 Centre -

SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability /eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in Written Examination and Oral Test in the shape of an interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the Applicants at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments. Applicant’s appearance in the Written Examination and Oral Test is compulsory.
