NOTIFICATION: Indian Coast Guard (ICG) (भारतीय तट रक्षक) (Government of India, Ministry of Defence) inviting online applications for filling up various vacant posts of Yantrik for – 02/2019, Batch starting in Aug 2019 at INS Chilka followed by sea training from eligible and interested willing candidates. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of Matriculation or equivalent and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio /Power) Engineering Approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) with 60% in aggregate (5% relaxation in above minimum cut off will be given for SC/ST candidates and outstanding sports person of National level who have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in any field sports events at the Open National Championship/ Interstate National Championship. This relaxation will also be applicable to the wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service).
PAY SCALE: Rs. 29200/- (Pay Level-5) in addition, you will be paid Yantrik pay @ Rs.6200/- + Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/ place of posting as per the regulation enforced time to time.
AGE LIMIT: Applicant’s required age should be in between of 18 years to 22 years as on 01-10-2019 (years i.e. between 01 Aug 1997 to 31 Jul 2001) for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2019 for Yantrik Diploma 02/2019 Entry.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates.
Medical Standards: As per Organization rules -
(1) Height: Minimum height 157 cms. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. orders.
(2) Chest: Should be well proportioned with minimum expansion 5 cms.
(3) Weight: Proportionate to height and age +-10 percentage acceptable.
(4) Hearing: Normal.
(5) Visual Standard: 6/6 (Better Eye) and 6/9 (Worse Eye). (Candidates using glasses are not eligible)
(6) Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body.
Physical Fitness Test: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will be conducted for all those who qualify the written tests. All candidates are advised to be in possession of sport rig i.e. Sport Shoe, T-shirt and Trouser etc. Qualifying PFT as per the standards given below is compulsory -
The PFT will consist as under:
1. 1.6 Km race/run to be completed in 7 minutes.
2. 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak).
3. 10 Push ups.
NOTE: Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.
