EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A passed of Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
Language: The applicant must be able to speak, read and write Bengali Language. However, this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts. For the applicant of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong District, the provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official language Act, 1961 will be applicable.
PAY SCALE: Rs. 5400 – 25200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2600/- for West Bengal Police Recruitment 2019 Jobs of Constable 8419 Posts.
AGE LIMIT: Candidate’s required age should be in between of 18 years - 27 years as on 01-01-2019.

SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability/ eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in written exam, Physical Efficiency test, Medical test and marks obtained in Interview –
1. Preliminary Written Examination (Marks – 100).
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
4. Final Written Exam (Full Marks – 85).
5. Interview (Full Marks – 15).
6. Verification of Character (ANTECEDENTS) Certificate.
7. Medical examination.
