NO OF VACANCIES: 965 vacant posts of Medical Officers (MO) through Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Department Wise Vacancies -
1. Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways: 300 posts.
2. Assistant Medical Officer in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Services: 46 posts.
3. Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services: 250 posts.
4. General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council: 07 posts.
5. General Duty Medical Gr.-II in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation and South: 362 posts.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: The applicants should have passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or
NOTE-1: A candidate who has appeared or has yet to appear at the final M.B.B.S. Examination may also apply. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination if otherwise eligible but the admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation, if they do not produce proof of having passed the written and practical part of the final M.B.B.S. Examination along with the detailed application which will be required to be submitted to the Commission by the candidates who qualify on the result of the Computer based examination. Such proof of passing the requisite examination should be dated earlier than the due date (closing date) of detailed Application Form of the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2019.
Note-2: A candidate who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the examination but on selection he/she will be appointed only after he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship.
Physical and Medical Standards: Candidates must be physically and medically fit according to the physical/medical standards for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2019 as per regulations contained in Appendix III to the Rules of the Examination.
PAY SCALE: As per Govt rules.
AGE LIMIT: Applicants upper age should not exceed 32 years as on 01-08-2019 i.e. the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1987.
AGE RELAXATION: As per Govt. rules age relaxation is applicable for said post to all reserved category candidates for UPSC Medical Officers Examination- 2019 for 965 posts.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: For said vacancy a non- refundable application fee is to be paid by the candidates as per rules. An amount of Rs.200/- by General & OBC candidates to be paid either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI. Applications that opt for "Pay by cash" mode should print the system generated Pay-in slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only. "Pay by cash" mode option will be deactivated at 23.59 hours of 05.05.2019 i.e. one day before the closing date.
Female/SC/ST & PH category candidates are exempted from paying of fee.
POST RESERVATION: All reserved category candidates ie. SC / ST /OBC/ Women /Widows etc (as applicable) are being selected for said post/s as per existing Govt. policy/rules.

SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants who are screened for applicability /eligibility are being selected as per organization policy/rules depending on the basis of their performance in written examination (CBT) and Personality Test/Interview.
The written examination for Combined Medical Service for two objective papers will be conducted in Computer based mode.
Important Dates:
1. The last date for Exam Fee (Pay by cash) mode option: 05-05-2019 up to 23:59 Hours.
2. The last date for Exam Fee (Online Mode only): 06-05-2019 till 6:00 PM.
3. The online Applications can be withdrawn: From 13.05.2019 to 20.05.2019 till 6.00 PM.
4. The Tentative date of Online written Examination: 21st July, 2019.
E ADMIT CARD: The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available in the UPSC website https://upsconline.nic.in for downloading by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post. All the applicants are required to provide valid and active E-mail i.d. while filling up Online Application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them.
