CONCESSION
An amount of Rs.100/- as an application
fee by General/EWS and OBC category candidates to be paid through BHIM UPI, Net
Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in
cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan up to 27-11-2019 (17:00).
However, candidates who wish to make the payment through challan of SBI, may
make the payment at designated branches of SBI within the working hours of bank
up to 29-11-2019 provided the challan has been generated by them before
27-11-2019 (17:00).
Women candidates / Scheduled Caste/
Scheduled Tribe/Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen who are eligible for
reservation need not to pay application fee as per extant Government orders.

1. GROUP-B Posts
A Central Civil post carrying the
following grade pay Rs. 5400, Rs. 4800, Rs. 4600 and Rs. 4200/- in the scale of
pay of Rs. 9300 – 34800/- in the Pay Band-2.
2. GROUP-C Posts
A Central Civil post carrying the
following grade pays Rs.2800, Rs.2400, Rs.2000, Rs.1900 and Rs.1800/- in
the scale of pay of Rs.5200-20200/- in the Pay Band-1.

RESERVATION
Reservation is applicable for Scheduled

SELECTION
PROCESS/SELECTION SORT
Candidates will be selected on the basis
of their performance in written test, (Tier 1 and Tier 2 followed by Tier-III
& IV Exam) Skill test, PET, Medical test, Typing test. After the Written
Examination and the Data Entry Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test/ Document
verification wherever applicable -

tiers, as given below

Marks
scored by candidates in Computer Based Examinations, if conducted in multiple
shifts, will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission
through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized
scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
Ø Tentative Answer Keys will be placed on
the Commissions website after the Examination. Candidates may go through the
Answer Keys and submit representations, if any, on payment of Rs 100/- per
question within the time limit given by the Commission through on-line modality
only. Any representation regarding Answer Keys received within the time limit
fixed by the Commission at the time of uploading of the Answer Keys will be
scrutinized before finalizing the Answer Keys and the decision of the
Commission in this regard will be final. No representation regarding Answer
Keys shall be entertained later.

Ticket for written online examination will not be sent by post. The candidates
should download the Admit Card from the official SSC websites. The Admit Card
will be ready for download one week prior to the date of the Examination.
Tier 1 exam is common for all posts and it
comprises of 4 subjects for 60 minutes duration
1. General Intelligence and
Reasoning: 25 questions - 50 marks.
2. General Awareness: 25
questions - 50 marks.
3. Quantitative Aptitude: 25
questions - 50 marks.
4. English Comprehension: 25
questions - 50 marks.
Note
In Tier-1 there will be negative marking
of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
Tier 2 will have 4 papers or 120 minutes
duration –
1. Paper-I: Quantitative Abilities - 100
questions - 200 marks.
2. Paper-II: English Language and
Comprehension - 200 questions - 200 marks.
3. Paper-III: Statistics - 100 questions -

Note
In Tier-2, there will be negative marking

SSC INTERVIEW
No more Interviews
There will not be any interviews for any
of these posts. So SSC will directly call individuals for Document
Verification, if you get selected in Tier IV exam.
Warning
There will be negative marking of 0.50 for
each wrong answer in Tier-I. In respect of Tier-II, the negative marking system
of 0.25 for each wrong answer in paper II (English Language &
Comprehension) of Tier-II and 0.50 for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper III
and Paper IV of Tier II.

Relaxation in Upper Age
Good news is that, now aspirants over the
age of 27 years, can apply for SSC CGL Exam, SSC had revised the upper age
limit for some on posts and increased it by 3 years. The posts for which SSC
had increased the upper age limit are CSS, Railway, IB, MEA, AFHQ etc.
Physical Fitness Requirements
Apart from the above, there are certain
requisite Physical Standards for Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive
Officer), Sub-Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) and
Sub-Inspector in NIA (National Investigation Agency).

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: As per details given below (as on 1st August, 2018) –
1. Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer: A passed of Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or Institute. Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters I Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.
NOTE: During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.
2. Junior Statistical Officer: A passed of Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from any recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at Degree level.
3. All other Posts: A passed of Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or equivalent.
Note: The candidates appearing in the final year of their Graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2018.
AGE LIMIT: Candidates required age should be in between of 18/20 years - 27/30/32 years as on 01-08-2018 (depends on post) for SSC CGL 2018 Notification Out.
1. Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer/Assistant Section Officer/Assistant Section Officer/Assistant Section Officer/Assistant Section Officer/Assistant Enforcement Officer/Inspector (Examiner)/Sub Inspector: Not exceeding 30 years.
2. Assistant/Sub Inspector/Inspector Posts: 18 - 30 years.
3. Inspector: 18 - 27 years.
4. Junior Statistical Officer: 32 years.
RELAXATION: Relaxation in age is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
REQUIRED APPLICATION FEE: An amount of Rs.100/- as an application fee by General and OBC category candidates to be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, Master Card or Maestro Credit or Debit card.
Women candidates / Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen who are eligible for reservation need not to pay application fee as per extant Government orders.
Note: As per DOPT’s Order No.11012/7/2008-Estt dated 09.04.2009 posts are classified under the Central Civil Services (CCA) Rules, 1965 as under:
1. GROUP-B Posts: A Central Civil post carrying the following grade pay Rs. 5400, Rs. 4800, Rs. 4600 and Rs. 4200/- in the scale of pay of Rs 9300 – 34800/- in the Pay Band-2.
2. GROUP-C Posts: A Central Civil post carrying the following grade pays Rs.2800, Rs.2400, Rs.2000, Rs.1900 and Rs.1800/- in the scale of pay of Rs.5200-20200/- in the Pay Band-1.
NOTE: Vacancies will be intimated in due course.
RESERVATION: Reservation is applicable for Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes(ST), Other Backward Classes(OBC) Ex-Serviceman(EXS) and Physically Handicapped(PH) candidates for all categories of posts/services, wherever applicable and admissible, would be as determined and communicated by the Indenting Ministries/Departments/ Offices/ Cadres, as per extant Government Orders.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test, (Tier 1 and Tier 2 followed by Tier-III & IV Exam) Skill test, PET, Medical test, Typing test. After the Written Examination and the Data Entry Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test/ Document verification wherever applicable.
The examination will be conducted in four tiers, as given below –
1. Tier -I - Computer Based Examination.
2. Tier -II - Computer Based Examination.
3. Tier -III - Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper).
4. Tier-IV - Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification.
Tier 1 exam is common for all posts and it comprises of 4 subjects for 60 minutes duration –
1. General Intelligence and Reasoning: 25 questions - 50 marks.
2. General Awareness: 25 questions - 50 marks.
3. Quantitative Aptitude: 25 questions - 50 marks.
4. English Comprehension: 25 questions - 50 marks.
Note: In Tier-1 there will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
Tier 2 will have 4 papers or 120 minutes duration –
1. Paper-I: Quantitative Abilities - 100 questions - 200 marks.
2. Paper-II: English Language and Comprehension - 200 questions - 200 marks.
3. Paper-III: Statistics - 100 questions - 200 marks.
4. Paper-IV: General Studies (Finance and Economics)- 100 questions - 200 marks.
Note: In Tier-2, there will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer in Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension) and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper-III and Paper-IV.
Based on the results, candidates would be shortlisted for Tier III and Tier IV according to their post.
Tier-3 Examination – Pen and Paper mode -Descriptive Paper in English or Hindi (Writing of Essay/ Precis/Letter/ Application etc.) - 100 marks for 60 minutes duration.
Tier – 4 Exam - Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification will also be conducted as per the provisions of the notice of examination.
No more Interviews: There will not be any interviews for any of these posts. So SSC will directly call individuals for Document Verification, if you get selected in Tier IV exam.
Warning: There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer in Tier-I. In respect of Tier-II, the negative marking system of 0.25 for each wrong answer in paper II (English Language & Comprehension) of Tier-II and 0.50 for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper III and Paper IV of Tier II.

Relaxation in Upper Age: Good news is that, now aspirants over the age of 27 years, can apply for SSC CGL Exam, SSC had revised the upper age limit for some on posts and increased it by 3 years. The posts for which SSC had increased the upper age limit is CSS, Railway, IB, MEA, AFHQ etc.
Physical Fitness Requirements: Apart from the above, there are certain requisite Physical Standards for Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive Officer), Sub-Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) and Sub-Inspector in NIA (National Investigation Agency).
