Paper-I (Objective Type): Computer Base Mode
1. Paper-I
will be conducted in computer-based mode with a total of 200 marks.
2. The
SSC JE Question paper will be set for General Intelligence & Reasoning,
General Awareness and General Engineering (Civil & Structural, Electrical
and Mechanical).
3. There
will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.
4. Candidates
are not allowed to bring their own Slide–Rule, Calculator, Logarithm Tables and
Steam Table for Paper-I.

SSC JE Answer key 2020
1. Answer
Keys will be placed on the Commission’s website ssc.nic.in after the
Examination.
2. Candidates
may go through the Answer Keys corresponding to their Test Form and submit
representations, if any, within the time limit given by the Commission through
on-line modality only, on payment of Rs. 100/- per question.
3. Any
representation regarding Answer Key received within the time limit fixed by the
Commission at the time of uploading of the Answer Key will be scrutinized, and
the decision of the Commission in this regard will be final.
SSC JE Syllabus 2020
1. The
standard of the questions in engineering subjects will be at the level of
Diploma & Engineering in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical.
General
Intelligence & Reasoning:
1. The
Syllabus for General Intelligence would include questions of both verbal and
non-verbal type.
2. The
test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization,
problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory,
discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning,
verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, et.

Awareness:
1. Questions
will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment
around him/ her and its application to society.
2. The
test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring
countries, especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic
Scene, General Polity and Scientific Research, etc.

Engineering (Civil):
1. Building
Materials, Estimating, Costing and Valuation, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics,

Resolution of Tie cases:
In case more than one candidate secures the equal
aggregates marks in Paper I+ Paper-II, the tie will be resolved by the
following conditions:
1. Total
marks in Paper-II.
2. Date
of birth, with older candidates, placed higher.
3. Alphabetical
order of the Candidates name will be considered.
