for CDS II exams along with the UPSC Calendar 2023. As per the calendar, the

- Indian Military Academy (IMA): 100 posts.
- Indian Naval Academy (INA): 32 posts.
- Air Force Academy (AFA): 32 posts.
- Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Course for men): 169 posts.
- Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Non-Technical
Course for Women): 16 posts.

UPSC CDS II 2023 Eligibility Criteria
As per the UPSC CDS II notification, CDS 2
eligibility criteria include the fulfillment of the age limit and educational
qualification for different academies is tabulated below.
CDS II 2023 Age Limit
For IMA: Unmarried male
candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 2000 and not later than 1st July,
2005 only are eligible.
For Indian Naval
Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 2000
and not later than 1st July, 2005 only are eligible.
For Air Force Academy: 20 to 24 years as on
1st July, 2024 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd July, 2000 and not later than 1st
July, 2004 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial
Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years. i.e. born not
earlier than 2nd July, 1998 and not later than 1st July, 2004 only are
eligible.
For Officers’ Training
Academy: (SSC Course for men) unmarried male candidates born not earlier
than 2nd July, 1999 and not later than 1st July, 2005 only are eligible.
For Officers’ Training
Academy: (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issueless
widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce
documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not
earlier than 2nd July, 1999 and not later than 1st July, 2005.
CDS II 2023 - Educational Qualification
For I.M.A. and Officers’
Training Academy, Chennai: Aspirants passed of a Degree of any recognized
University or equivalent.
For Indian Naval
Academy: Aspirants passed of a Degree in Engineering from any recognized
University/ Institution.
For Air Force Academy: Aspirants passed of a
Degree of any recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2
level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Note: Graduates with first
choice as Army/ Navy/ Air Force are to submit proof of Graduation/ provisional
certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.
Jobseekers who are studying in the final year/semester Degree course and have
yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply provided candidate
should not have any present backlog up to the last semester / year for which
results have been declared up to the time of submission of application and they
will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination at
the time of commencement of course.

Jobseekers (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted
from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/-.
UPSC CDS 2 Exam Pattern 2023
The UPSC CDS examination consists of a written examination
followed by an interview by the Services Selection Board (SSB). The written
examination is conducted in three stages for different academies, including the
Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officers'
Training Academy.
The candidates have to clear CDS Written
Examination to get selected for the interview round. Check the exam pattern for
each position below.
• There will be Multiple-Choice Questions in each paper.
• The question paper for General Knowledge and Elementary
Mathematics will be set in Hindi as well as English.
• There will be a penalty of 1/3 marks for a wrong answer.
• Duration of each exam is separate i.e. 2 hours.
Aspirants who clear the written examination and interview will
have to undergo a thorough medical examination. Once the medical examination is
cleared, candidates will undergo training at their respective academies.
CDS 2 Syllabus 2023
The CDS syllabus includes subjects such as English, General Knowledge
and Elementary Mathematics It is advisable for candidates to refer to the
official notification for the detailed syllabus and prepare accordingly.
CDS 2 Exam 2023 Admit Card
The admit card for the CDS II exam 2023 will be released in August
2023 for the written exam to be held on 03rd September 2023. The candidates
must download their call letter much before the exam date to avoid the
last-minute rush. It is mandatory to carry the hard copy of admit card to the
exam hall.
How to Download the CDS 2 Admit Card?
The candidates can download the UPSC CDS admit
card for the CDS 2 exam by following the steps given below:
- Go to the CDS official website-upsc.gov.in
- Click on the admit card link in the What's New section.
- The page will redirect to the login page.
- Fill out the login details.
- The admit card will appear on the screen.
- Download the admit card and save it for later use.
CDS 2 Exam 2023 Result
After the successful conduction of the written exam, UPSC will be
announcing the result for the shortlisted candidates for the interview round.
The result for each stage will be released separately.
CDS 2 2023 Cut-Off
UPSC releases cut-off marks for CDS Exam on its official website.
The candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks (i.e. 20 marks minimum
in each subject) and for selection must score more than the cut-off marks. UPSC
releases CDS written exam cut-off and final cut-off separately.
