The selection process
for both posts will consist of a written examination, physical fitness test,
and medical examination.
·
The written examination
will be held on October 8, 2023. The syllabus for the examination will be based
on the Matriculation or 12th standard level syllabus.
·
The physical fitness test
will include a swimming test, a running test, and a pull-up test.
·
The medical examination
will be conducted to ensure that the candidates are physically fit to serve in
the Indian Coast Guard.
·
The final selection of
candidates will be based on their performance in all the stages of the
selection process.
·
The candidates who are selected
for the Navik (General Duty) post will be trained at the Indian Coast Guard
Academy in Kochi, Kerala. The training period is 4 years.

The candidates who are
selected for the Yantrik post will be trained at the Indian Coast Guard
Training Centre in Karwar, Karnataka. The training period is 3 years.

After completing their
training, the Navik (General Duty) and Yantrik officers will be posted to
various ships, boats, and stations of the Indian Coast Guard. They will be
responsible for a variety of tasks, including search and rescue, pollution

should hold a diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication
Engineering.

weight of 50 kg for Navik (General Duty) and 45 kg for Navik (Domestic Branch).
