RBI Grade B 2024 Age Limit

the RBI Grade B officer exam, you must be at least 21 years old

Educational Qualification
To be
eligible for RBI Grade B, candidates must also meet the educational

Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General): Graduation/Post
Graduation in any discipline or an equivalent technical or professional
qualification.
- Graduation:
Minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants).
- Post
Graduation: Minimum 55% marks (pass marks
for SC/ST/PwBD applicants).
Officers in
Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DEPR: Candidates must possess a
Master’s Degree in Economics (or any other master’s degree where “Economics” is
the principal constituent of the curriculum/syllabus, such as MA/MSc in
Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Financial Economics, Business
Economics, Agricultural Economics, and Industrial Economics).
OR
A Master’s
Degree in Finance (or any other master’s degree where “Finance” is the
principal constituent of the curriculum/syllabus, including MA/MSc in
Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques,
International Finance, Business Finance, Banking and Trade Finance, International
and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance, Agri Business Finance).
A minimum
of 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade is required in aggregate.
Officers in
Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DSIM: Candidates must hold one of
the following qualifications with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in
aggregate across all semesters/years:
a. Master’s
Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical
Economics/ Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics/Applied Statistics &
Informatics.
b. Master’s
Degree in Mathematics along with a one-year postgraduate diploma in
Statistics or related subjects from a reputable institute.
c. Master’s
Degree in Data Science/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Big Data
Analytics from a recognized University/Institute.
d. Four-year
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science/AI/ML/Big Data Analytics from a
recognized University/Institute.
e. Two-year
Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) from a recognized
University/Institute.

B Selection Process consists of three stages –
Phase I:
It comprises objective-type questions on the English language, quantitative
aptitude, reasoning, and general awareness. The total number of Marks is 200
and the mode of examination is online. The questions will be set in both Hindi
and English and the questions shall be MCQ-based. Candidates must note that
this is qualifying in nature and it will not be added to the final merit list.
Phase II:
Those who qualify the stage 1, will appear for the Phase II Exam. It is divided
into three papers covering economic and social issues, English writing skills,
and finance and management. The syllabus and exam pattern of Phase 2 varies for
General, DEPR, and DSIM posts.
Interview:
Finally, candidates who clear Phase II are called for the Interview stage. A

Pay Scale
Selected
candidates will receive a starting basic salary of Rs. 55,200/- per month
within the pay scale of Rs. 55,200/--2850 (9)-80,850-EB-2850 (2)-86,550-3300 (4)-99,750/-,
applicable to Officers in Grade 'B'. In addition, they will be entitled to Special
Allowance, Grade Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory
Allowance, Special Grade Allowance, Learning Allowance, and House Rent
Allowance (HRA) as per current regulations. Currently, the initial gross
monthly emoluments (excluding HRA) are approximately Rs. 122717/- per month. If
housing is not provided by the Bank, a 15% House Rent Allowance will be paid.

(General) Prelims Exam Pattern
The Prelims
Exam Pattern of the RBI Grade B Recruitment 2024 includes 200 questions for 200
marks from the subjects including General Awareness, English Language,
Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. The time duration of the exam is 2 hours.
Separate time will be allotted for each portion (subject) of the exam.

(General) Mains Exam Pattern
The RBI Grade
B exam mains exam includes three papers.
Paper-I
(Economics and Social Issues): RBI Grade B
Mains Paper-I includes the subject of Economics and Social Issues (50%
Objective and 50% Subjective). The time duration of the objective exam is 30
minutes and the time duration of the subjective exam is 90 minutes. There are a
total of 100 marks (50 each) for the objective and subjective exam.
Paper II
(English- Written Skills): The paper-II of the RBI
Grade B Mains exam consists of a descriptive paper of 100 marks. The paper is
to test the English writing skills of the candidates. The time duration of the
exam is 90 minutes.
Paper-III
(General Finance and Management): The
Paper-III is 50% Objective and 50% Subjective. The total duration of the exam
is 90 minutes and the total marks of the exam are 100 (50 for each objective
and subjective).
RBI Grade B Exam Date 2024 Out
The exam
dates for RBI Grade B Exam 2024 Phase 1 and Phase 2 has been notified by
the Reserve Bank of India along with RBI Grade B Notification 2024.
Candidates filling out application forms will have to appear for the
Preliminary or phase 1 exam on 8th & 14th September 2024. After the completion
of the prelims exam those who qualify have to appear for RBI Grade B Mains Exam
on 19th & 26th October 2024.
